Jamal basically created the UK rap and grime scene as we know it in a more mainstream sense. Gave many artists a platform where there wasn’t one, including Ed.

Freestyle 64, Ed cut his teeth in the battle rap UK grime scene and Jamal kind of created that platform. He talks about how the scene made him feel abandoned - Jamal gave a voice to a lot of now very big artists and then the once iconic 'SBTV' platform went a little quiet. I guess he's also saying he didn't know his best mate was playing with drugs "you'd always bail me up if you saw me more than drunk". He shot this live in one take. I heard that Jamal is one of the people that helped Ed blow up. Apparently he featured him on multiple videos back in the day and that is what helped Ed get noticed. It's said that SBTV helped springboard alot of artists careers in the UK. Give a round of applause to Jamal for being such a good friend and recognizing talent. There is a behind the scenes clip only about 5 mins with jamal's sister and Ed he did it live in one take at Chelsea football club which was jamal's team I think Ed is a total legend he remembers where he started and who gave him a chance RIP Jamal Xxx
