My dad rescued a tiny little bird in june. My mother nursed it. It always hopped around the house and tried to get on the sofa. We let him out in the nature later. he didn't need us anymore and even got his own food, but still came back to our house every evening to cuddle with my mother and sleep on top of the fridge. It was just fully grown when it died two weeks ago. His head was completely broken on the left side. We're all still crying.

Oh I just realized that everyone else sees the little bird as the girl, but I see the little bird meaning their love itself. If you listen to the song and think about it like that, it works. The bird with the broken wing is their love because they've already broken up but she wants to fix it. And then its like when I left that little bird with that broken leg to die, meaning he screwed up. But it's about them trying to fix their love, and do it slowly don't dive in too soon or we'll get our feet wet. Idk that's how I saw it.

I just read the story of Ed's beautiful and loving gesture for little Triona Priestley ( www.people.com/people/article/0,,20802536,00.html ) ...it moved me beyond words and I had to hear the song he sang to her before she passed. I am in tears, but also know that Triona went smiling all the way to heaven's gate! God Bless Triona's soul...she is truly one of God's little birds. I have a lot of respect for what Ed has done...and also how all of this has made a sad story, into one that is something I will never forget. not really, we still say bird as in the flying bird, some people just decide to change the word. also please don't refer to it as a major term in england, it's really not
