When this song came out I saw people in the comments talking about how 50s verse was not right for the song, and I agreed until today. I listened to it in a different way. That way being like the three stages of his or their success. Ed speaking on the old days growing up with hunger and negativity and overcoming that. Em speaking about the luck finally striking in a major way and he speaks on some songs that got him there and also talks about how he's breaking records and doin it his way, or splitting scenes. 50 explains how life is for him or them now.
