Ed was strongly influenced by the band Nizlopi. He said in his book that he learned everything from them, how to work the crowd, about performing on stage. I love this cover. You can see that Ed loves doing it 'cause it's the song of his favourite band.

I thinks it's also really cool how you can really hear how his guitar playing is influenced by them. The types of rhythms he plays and his palm muting definitely stem from nizlopi (aswell as damien rice). you always hear artists say they were influenced by this that and this other but alot of the time i dont see it but with ed you can clearly see his influences.

I played for over 5 years, havent played properly for a year (I reached a point of stagnation, I was reasonably good... intermediate level, but then I started learning ukulele and now I'm better at that than I am at guitar...).
