His guy has got so much talent it's amazing. Most musicians use up all their talent in 5 to 10yrs. This person has got more tricks than a clowns pocket.

From the write up (I am assuming these are Ed's words): "The idea is to transport the listener to a place where the everyday ups and downs of the world dissipate, leaving the mind free to wander through a colourful, omnidirectional guitar and synth driven musical landscape for a while, landing eventually, hopefully freshly charged, with a smile and a calmer spirit." These words mean so much to me literally and metaphorically. Many times, we hear so many so-called positive messages from so many sources (self-help books, seminars, etc). But IMHO, these words truly create positive and uplifting feelings because the music touches the soul.

The problem here is such a great multi instrumentalist that he may not ever be remembered for being sterling in any individual discipline. He's one of my favourite guitarists and one of my favourite synth sequencers too. His drum programming is not too shoddy too. I think Become the other, Sliding gliding worlds, there is nothing were amazing and ultimately my favourite was Waterfall cities. Good to know there's a new one out. I will consume that too. Luv and Peace. PS Still miss Eat Static.

Agree. For me, his guitar work is so understated. But I realised early on that he is going for an integrated feel to his music and doesn't particularly want any one aspect to stick out and disrupt the rest. He's a phenomenal guitarist but doesn't need to show off and make a big noise about it. It's all meant to work together....
