I mean with Camilla, her attitude towards Luz makes sense. She thought her daughter was going away to a camp, then gets many calls and e-mails saying Luz never arrived. A search is sent out, going on for weeks. Months pass, she only sees Luz to learn she chose to be trapped in another dimension. She doesn’t know if her daughter is coming home, and all this years after she’d lost her husband. The fate of two worlds is probably at stake, but she finally got Luz back.

@@garrettviewegh677 Regarding "Yesterday's Lie", what I liked is how even though Camila was saddened by Luz's choice to stay, she was more so mad at herself, feeling responsible for pushing her daughter away due to pressure from her school to make Luz "behave" as we later saw in "Thanks To Them". She felt that she had betrayed her own daughter and genuinely wanted to make things right, and we saw her do just that in "Thanks To Them". If anything Camila may have been flawed, but she basically raised the bar on cartoon parents cause she did the one thing that most cartoon parents are absolutely alergic to doing. Genuinely holding themselves accountable for their mistakes towards their offspring.

No search party was sent after Luz since from POV of any person on human realm, she was never missing. Camila only realised that in Yesterday's Lie, even then she wouldn't search for Luz because she knew where Luz was and it would have been pointless since it's another universe and Luz chose to stay there.

I relate to Eda so much. I knew a guy from a job I had. His parents were borderline abusive. I, along with a few others, really looked out for him. I taught him how to change tires. Change oil. All the "dad" sort of stuff. He even jokingly called me "dad" a few times. Meanwhile, his "legal guardians" were taking funds out of his bank account. I was a rampant alcoholic, stoner, drug dealer, and borderline scam artist for the longest time. Then I met someone I didn't wish the same as me.

Eda has soothed my parental issues so much lol. Because yes although she becomes more motherly as the series goes on, you can tell from the start how good she naturally is with kids already. She's gentle and patient with Luz and her friends when they mess up or cause problems. She *never* gets angry at them or lashes out when they make a mistake that does damage. ex; She isn't even remotely angry or upset with Luz when she's caught by Lilith and instead is just trying to get her to safety, she doesn't hold a grudge against Hunter when he comes out of Belos's hold, in fact she immediately tries to bring him comfort when he's panicking. She understands that kids are kids and they make mistakes that they can learn from. Eda is the best 💜
