then the main challenge for you is to first find the specific database for the dialect you are considering and if it isnt even available you have to make it, but then its a huge task.

Hi, could you run this for ancient greek? It's apparently not in the mt-5 pretrained language set. Ancient greek is a bit odd in terms of coding the language, it uses "diacriticals" which requires special fonts to render and I often have issues with these (e.g. my e-book does not match words with diacriticals with entries in dictionaries, =99.9% of them...). There are databases with translated texts (Perseus database). Would it be terribly difficult to create a ML-tool to translate ancient greek? Or at least create something you can train with the examples from the database?

It's been a long time since I worked with this code, but looking back at it, it doesn't seem like this in necessary. So long as you have the line at the beginning "model = AutoModelForSeq2SeqLM.from_pretrained(model_repo)" I think it should work because that model is already pretrained.
