7 and 8 were always my favorites. 7 is (slowly) being restored in Maine, 8 has been out of service for several years. I had the pleasure of running her in Maine before she was sidelined - a dream come true.

Thanks for posting!! I became a railroad fan and modeler just after I got out of the service. Starting in 1970 I was at every railfan day and was there every Christmas season until 1991. This footage is priceless. No.7 a special Loco to me. I used to love the way her air pump would shoot steam into the air like a shotgun.

Whatever happened to Bridgton and Harrison Railroad 7 after it was discontinued on the Edaville Railroad?

Funny you ask - it just returned to service on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad in Portland, Maine, where it moved along with most of the former Edaville collection. It was repaired/restored over a period of many years. It looks a little different from when these pictures were taken, but she's running once again and that's a good thing.

8 was out of service due to New FRA regs. AFAIK she was not damaged, since she was at the opposite end of the house. I hope they restore her eventually.
