I R S $600 purchasing monitoring: Prevent 'hording' of supplies, and the First Step in the National Gun Registry : Seize all purchasing records. Most Modern firearms are priced over $600, so the IRS can track all weapon sales throughout USA. Then it's a simple matter of going house to house, and disarming the American civilians. Citizens forced into total helplessness. The Nation Guard will be deployed against their own cities. Operation: American Pacification.

As an OLD retired FF/Paramedic I think EDC should start with your clothing. You for instance work in a high rise building in an earthquake prone area. Maybe you want your clothing to be fire resistant cotton. Just a thought. Also I always carry a "metal tactical pen" & a "triangular bandage". With those 2 items alone I have several fist aid items. I can make a sling or swath for fractures, a pressure dressing for bleeding, or a tourniquet to name a few things this alone allows me. A folding knife in Texas is carried by almost all males not just preppers! Thanks for continuing your channel, I actually use a lot of your info while teaching my first aid classes for scuba divers.

Great Video. As always. You are absolutely right: Everyone should start with an EDC, because everybody has parts of it. With my EDC I like to ask me three questions: 1) What do I absolutely need 90% of the time? (e.g. keys, money/ payment method, card for public transportation, …) 2) What do I need not very often but when, I need it now and not in 10 minutes it takes to buy it? (e.g. medication I need sometimes, handkerchief, protection (weapon), …) 3) What can or should I carry to make my life easier/ help me safe money/ keep me healthy/ protect the environment? (e.g. flashlight, bag for groceries, coffee mug for the coffee to go, hand sanitizer, some kind of tool (knife, multi tool), …) Everybody has different questions and more so different answers. But everybody should start here. Cliff's layered system of tiers is the best idea out there. Read his pdfs. They are worth a lot.

I was carrying EDCs before they had a nickname. I used to work as a nurse and always had my purse plus a work bag with everything because you never knew when one shift would turn into a double, or you'd get to the patient's home and find out formula didn't get delivered or there was only one dose of Tylenol left. Another good item is a mini sewing kit (like from a hotel) or make on: cut an index card in half, tape 2 needles and 2 safety pins to it, and wrap it with a length of black thread.

one of the things I like about your channel the most, is your speaking style ☺💡🎓. If you were a school 🏫🚐teacher, you'd probably be one of those teachers who's students would all go on to be highly, highly, highly successful people in life, just due to the way you teach, and it's thoroughness 👏👏👏💡🎓. You make everything you're teaching/explaining super, super easy to mentally absorb and learn. I salute you 👍😎.

Welcome Back Cliff! ..Mr. Urban Prepper is personally responsible for turning me into an EDC fan and prepper in general. He is a very organized, and well-spoken beautiful human being. I live in the Chicago jungle as a professional commuter downtown, and not knowing what can happen from hour to hour and day to day, having these items with me has saved me from being without in an emergency. Recently, I had an emergency in the EL train transit system due to someone walking on the tracks. This event shut down the El train line for a few hours on my way to work downtown. Lucky I had my EDC and backpack with my " Complementary Redundancies" including emergency money to hail an Uber or taxi to work. We all know that our lives have changed with the pandemic, so please take the time to organize what you need and have items available to get you out of trouble or get you back home safely! Don't forget to download his PDF file link for an excellent list of starter items!! Thanks again Cliff, can't wait for your new EDC bag review~!

Excited to see you back again. Tried to find that 1929 Swiss Gear back pack you did in a two part unpacking. But realised that the video was dated. Chances of finding one just like it would be challenging. But I liked how well it worked and the right type of back packing for urban prepping in Chicago Illinois. It was so remarkable just how many simular items I had that I never used in quite the way you used them to organize your Get Home Bag. And retooled my GHB the way yours is arranged. many tools I use at home that could be packed into my back pack. I managed to find such a Back Pack simular in construction at a Meijer store. I also like your minimalist approach. I learned many things in how to pack in my GHB from your You Tube videos and subscribe to your channel. (Wish I could send a buck or two your way but I don't have Plastic, Paypal, etc. )

Although I’m a prepper and a woman, I occasionally get teased about that knife in my front pocket by people who don’t know I’m a prepper. For me it’s easy to explain because I live on a farm and I ALWAYS need a knife! Those people that rib me, are friendlies and frequently one of them comes to me needing to use my knife! Cracks me up! 🤣

Love the idea that it's the things you feel naked without. I have my jeans EDC and my sling (let's call it what it is - a man's handbag with more organisation). Just always carry a handkerchief - so useful in so many ways. I think key EDC would be interesting. Working in London I make sure I have a flashlight and emergency whistle. It's not if, more when, a situation will occur.

OG EDC Preppers: The Purse... Mine, until my back problems, had lighters, knife, micro flashlight, micro noise maker alarm, micro tool set, micro sewing set, micro office desk set, mini pharmacy & first aide kit, tide pen, travel packs of deodorant, wipes, sanitizing wipes, toilet seat covers, hand sanitizer, tp tablets, back up period kit, emergency poncho & blanket, travel pack Kleenex, (I would basically just go down the travel or to go isle at the grocery store) and of course phone, wallet, and keys, also various mints, gum & some type of Powerbar & electrolytes packets. Also had a drunk clip with a bottle holder attachment. I was always the 'Mom' of my group. It was only a medium sized purse but it was well packed & about 10 lbs (made a good improvised cudgel too). But then my weight limit got down to 5 lbs so it's a tiny purse now that has phone, wallet, lighter, knife, keys (including flashlight & noise alarm keychain) and maybe room for a small packet 1 dose of my pain pills if I get stuck somewhere. I miss my cudgel...

This all started when my daily uniform was shorts T-shirt and flip flops, but still wanted to carry Wallet, keys, cellphone, knife, flash, hand sanitizer, my own toilet paper & a lighter. My swim shorts could not handle the weight?🤭

Welcome back, a great practical video for real life in a sea of tactical KZbin machismo. That said, a micro 9 or snubby 38 should be in every competent, sensible adult's tier 3 or 4, along with a laminated CPL license and a Rat tourniquet. Unlikely you will ever need it but, as mentioned, once you start carrying you will feel naked without it.

If you want to minimize bulk and save money, you can buy multi use items that fit in your bag or purse like a pen with a flashlight built in, a swiss army knife is good for emergencies or just convinience such as opening soft drink bottles if they don't have a lid or of the lid has a tough grip and your hands are already sweating, (especially if you forgot your reusable water bottle.) (I also always carry tissues which is also good if the restroom is out of toilet paper and you're alone or it's a single use washroom.) I of course try to carry a water bottle with me and maybe a snack, dehydration can happen anytime but especially in the summer. It's also good to carry a snack if you're diabetic or anemic or need to eat every few hours. (It's also better for the environment and your wallet.) You can get stainless steel bottles and fill it with soup or hot drinks too , or just hot water when you have to go out but it's freezing to avoid hypothermia. I also make sure I at least have my debit card or a little cash for a taxi, (not too much in case your wallet gets stolen.) But it's good to have even if you drive, in case you have car issues and you don't have C.I.A.

I used to carry tactical folders, but now no one can see my 5" blade, horizontal carry, Spyderco Street Bowie. Draw left or right handed. Great kitchen knife. :) A Gerber Vise is small and has a nice pair of pliers that are strong, yet precision enough to pull small splinters. I carry 2 wallets with emergency gear stashed, including spare house key. A pair of nail clippers and chapstick. My pen is a tactical S & W with a flashlight that separates from the pen. (it takes a common Zebra cartridge) and the light will clip onto a hat brim. I always carry a folded piece of paper to write on too. A P365 rounds out my EDC and no one ever knows I'm a prepper because everything is hidden, except maybe the tactical pen. Thanks for your own list, because I need to add some more advance 1st aid and a Bic.

You are NOT going to believe where I am right now this minute! I am in the Energency Room of our local hospital, having overnighted on a guerney in a quiet dark hallway under a thick warm soft blanket and a nice pillow. (I slept like a log!) The ambulance picked me up at 1pm last night with the worst stomach ache I've ever had in my life. They processed me on arrival at the hospital, and tucked me up to see the doctor this morning. The pain meds worked and I'm feeling fine. I did grab a few extra things to stuff in my handbag (extra panties and suchlike!) BUT - I had my EDC in my handbag that I finished preparing over the weekend. Who would have thought that I would need it so soon! I have 1. Washed my hands and face with an antibacterial wipe. 2. Cleaned my teeth with one of my toothpaste tabs and my toothbrush. 3. Applied some lipstick using the tiny little mirror I got from a Christmas cracker. 4. Combed my hair - all with items from my EDC! The next thing thats going in is a tiny container of face cream, a straw with some shampoo in it, and some one-use soaps. I feel human! I bless the day I decided to make an EDC!

My EDC would be my keys, wallet, phone, and my glasses.. So before I walk out the door I have to count if I have those 4 things..On my key chain I carry 3 keys, hand sanitizer, a small multi tool, and a small tape measure (I find myself always measuring things), as well as some paracord. I try to not forget pepperspray since people are getting bold nowadays but I still do leave it behind. I don't carry purses and usually wear jogger pants so I can't really carry much.
@trailerfitter23 жыл бұрын
Generally, I don't want to rely on anything other than my keys and a wallet. Carrying loads of items is impractical and I'd rather use what I can find rather than being concerned about cuddling a tactical kit. Things in pockets if not secured are annoying or are lost if not secured.
