This is what I carry with me, on my person. These items are essential for my Get Home Bag, Bugout Bag, and every day use.

Awesome video sir! Don't apologize for the rooster or the dogs. It's all about the ambiance. 😂

Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate it. It’ll take me a bit to get comfortable, and talking to, the camera. But I do prefer to be outdoors. And the dogs seem to want to be in every video! Lol

Great video, Tim. Are you still liking the 365? All I've seen anywhere is people talking about the rust issues, and even after we shot in the rain with them last, I have still not had a single issue. *indoor studios are overrated.... Don't worry about your videos. You can't go from 0 to perfect in juat a few videos. Just play with your setup and find your niche. Don't take yourself too seriously and have fun while giving solid information.

Thanks John! The 365 is good to go. I haven’t seen any rust issues. I think some folks might have maintenance habits that are inadequate for the Sigs, because they are used to Glocks. I do enjoy making videos outdoors. It’s more fitting for this topic! Hey, I’ll be hitting you up soon, when I start doing the communications videos. It’s much easier to talk to someone in Germany than 100 miles up the road, and I’d like to make sure folks realize the difference between the two techniques.

Awesome man, just let me know. We'll figure out a time and I'll find somewhere remote to operate from and we'll do a hasty contact on 40m for examples.

@@KC0JH_HAMateur_Radio exactly what I had in mind. It’ll be after the first of the year, for sure. I have a lot of stuff to cover before that. And as you can see in my video, I still have firewood to split! Lol

I love it that you can make fun of yourself. What would you carry as a single woman in your 30s who works 20 miles from home in the suburbs?

Women usually have more options than men do. It’s not unusual to be carrying a handbag the size of a large Haversack! If I were recommending something to my wife or daughter, I’d have them base their EDC on the 5 Cs of Survival. Cut, Combustion, Container, Cover and Cordage. A Multitool, a Lighter, a water bottle of some sort (preferably stainless steel single wall), a garbage bag or Poncho, and a hank of mini paracord, or some braided bank line. That all can weigh very little, and will fit nicely into your handbag. I don’t know your specific work environment, etc. but this is a start.

@@Timberwizardsurvival Thanks for your quick response. I get tired of people not responding to questions! Thanks! What’s the difference between mini paracord and bank line? Do they have different purposes or uses?

@@hulabadula8282Good question. The micro cord (mini paracord) is just a different construction. I don’t use it much, due to availability. Braided Bank or Trot Line is available almost everywhere you can buy fishing equipment, and it’s super cheap. I’ll caution you that the TWISTED bank line is not suitable for emergency use. Heck, it’s not even good for fishing use. Even A small Blue Catfish will roll when hooked, and will untwist your line quickly. The braided stuff is what you want.

Hey there! If I need everything on my person to get home, what can I do about water filtration? Do you recommend anything in particular that’s small? I’m a girl and can’t fit my camel in my EDC. 😂

Well, there are several options for food and water, that I’ll discuss in a future video. But, given only what I have on my person, I can always find a container to heat the water in. Plastic water bottles won’t melt as long as they still have water in them. They can also be made into filters with charcoal, and a few other natural items that are readily available. In a serious emergency, you can scoop up water in your boot or shoes if you have to. It sounds disgusting, but it’s better than dying!
