Last year was borderline desperation. IMO, still the best receiver the Ravens EVER brought in that wasn’t drafted here, was Steve Smith Sr. And we have been chasing that type of production from the WR position ever since. So if you’re honest with yourself, you have to admit we don’t pay top dollar for receivers and as long as we can keep Lamar signed, we really won’t need to sign a big receiver. But we made it all the way to the AFC title game so it was $15 mil well spent in my opinion.

Hate to say this, but the hardest coach to replace would be Tomlin. Tomlin's teams have overachieved their talent far more than the Ravens. Last year's PIT roster shouldn't have won 6 games, yet they made the playoffs. You just spent a whole 30+ minutes talking about how the Ravens have consistently come up short of expectations for the past decade+. There's been one constant through all of that - Harbaugh. (well...him and Tucker, but I think we can safely say our kicker has not been the problem) In addition, no high-level coach would want to walk into the QB situation the Steelers currently have. More high level coaches would be willing to take the Ravens job due to the talent on the roster, including the QB, so getting a quality replacement would be far easier for the Ravens. The Bengals have a quality QB, (although possibly a fragile one) but they are notoriously cheap. Cleveland has a QB problem of their own. If all 4 HC positions were open, i believe the Ravens would most likely get the pick of the crop, and they have the room to improve on execution and game planning/management.

Hello peoples I have a vision about what’s gonna happen with paying these WR that type of money. Next the CB are gonna demand more money to stop them . That why we drafted 2 CBs and have a lot of them on defense. The CB Market is about to go up watch what I tell you. So EDC is smart grab a bunch of corners for cheap while you can . Smart bolster up your Secondary and draft Wr and hope they pan out and develop into stars. EDC is thinking ahead counter all these teams with elite high paying receivers with a dominating secondary. And it works because we beat numerous teams with those types of receivers last year . Lions 49ers Bengals Seahawks Dolphins Chargers etc. EDC is A genius

My perspective, I don't see them not winning the SB as the season being a failure. They failed to make and win the SB, but watching the evolution of the offense. The evolution of Lamar. 2nd MVP, 1 suspect vote short of 2nd unanimous. Can't call the entire season a failure. For me, there's too much chaos, luck (good/bad) and bad officiating in the NFL to say that. Any given Sunday is somewhat overused, but it's overused for a reason.
