Some really good advice here, I was one of those too who said I will never want a red dot, yeah right, just get optic ready and maybe even threaded barrel if you can, you will eventually want it. And also apply for all 4 licences at the same time if you have the means.

Do not buy into FADS. Do not go with what your mates say as gospel, do not copy what they have purchased and what they roll with. Establish for you, yourself what your primary purpose is for purchasing a firearm.Is the Firearm going to be used for Sports Shooting or as an EDC for self defence purposes. You are a civilian. Not everyone works in LE. Not everyone works in the PSC environment. Which means you do not have to buy all the Tacticool gear. Do take time to research so that you can get an idea on what is out there on offer in the marketplace best suited to you saving you money in the long term. Not all big name brand goods are the best. There are cheaper better no fuss no frills firearms items out there.
