@@silas9290 You must be young. Whenever Eddie was scheduled for a fight, we never really cared if he would win or lose. Nobody is saying he's the GOAT. I'm an Eddie fan and I couldn't tell you who he's beaten or lost too. What I can tell you is that you can pick any of his old fights and you won't find a boring one. Ehh, he had a somewhat underwhelming UFC career, considering the hype behind him from Bellator. 1.) He lost his debut to Cowboy 2.) He layed on Anthony Pettis for 3 rounds, and did no damage. 3.) He was losing to RDA before he landed a big right hand rocking RDA and getting a TKO win. 4.) 0 title defenses, and lost horribly to Conor McGregor.. 5.) He cheated against Dustin Poirier. But he had a Great fight with Justin Gaethje, so that was entertaining af.

Much respect to you Eddie, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your fights throughout your career and especially hearing your wife cheer you on. No matter how far away she was, how big of an arena or even how many people were cheering and how loud it was, you could always hear her screaming your name! EVERY FIGHT! However, Michael Chandler fought Dustin Poirier, Tony Furgueson, Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira in his last 4 fights. I thinks it’s pretty obvious why that fight never happened and it had nothing to do with Michael not liking to wrestle and not because he was scared. First, the UFC would have never made that fight to begin with and honestly that fight would have been a step backwards for Michael Chandler because had he lost I’m pretty sure it would have been an upset while a win would have done nothing for his career at that point. That’s why the fight was never made.

But that just shows you how rough the landscape still is for MMA fighters. After you've been tossed around and lowballed by the big promotions, all you got left is going to these weirdo outfits to ruin what's left of your health because it's still more of a payday than the dead-end street of prime time MMA.

Wish someone would make a sport with Bare Knuckle rules (plus elbows, knees and kicks) and just have the fighters wear hand wraps + 4oz (or 2oz gloves). It would just allow fights to stay exciting for longer with full wraps and the gloves allow the fighter to throw more of a variety of strikes without fear of breaking their hands every fight. Especially for the ring and pinky knuckles. Those BKFC wraps aren't doing jack for the pinky and rings.

Conner can no longer take solid punches well. My guess is that his sparring partners are instructed not to hit him in the face. That coupled with cage inactivity has left him attempting to smother his opponents during even equal exchanges. For this reason, anyone who can rock him with a few solid punches to the face in row has a good chance of winning in my opinion.

“Can no longer take solid punches”? Lol what. Based on what? Dudes only been fully dropped once his entire career even including a debut boxing match against mayweather. Took many punches for him to go down against Dustin before he dipped his forehead head into an uppercut. After that he got chin checked in limbo, halfway sitting up by a guy standing above him punching down. No reason to say he can’t take a punch. Although I agree if his opponent starts out boxing him I’d pick against Conor.

Classic case of a great fighter who no longer can tolerate the hits to the head. Sorry that he has to keep fighting. This is a classic trajectory for MMA FIGHTERS who have run out of options.

Although I don't like BKFC... I do like that he has thought it through pretty well. I wish that someone would bring things back to the way it was. A real street fight, bare hands, everything works but eye gouges and Nutt shots. That is the next evolution.

if Conor was in his prime and amazing when he fought Eddie. and if Conor looked in most recent fights anything like the guy that beat Eddie i would agree that Conor vs Chandler is a mismatch. Chandler is basically tailor made for that version of Conor and if Conor can bring that guy back he will make Chandler look really bad and knock him out in a round or two. If Conor looks like he did vs Poirier in their second and third fights it’s a nearly 50-50 fight if Chandler uses his wrestling. If it’s a striking match Conor knocks Chandler out within two

In theory all these extra promotions are a great thing, offering fighters way more choice to shop around. But, In reality many of them have just become an opportunity for old fighters that should have retired to continue to pursue brain damage. I'm not necessarily including Eddie in that bracket, but I think you know where I'm coming from.

Eddie doesn't get enough credit. He won a belt literally everywhere he fought and beat some absolute monsters. Also on his Conor bit I think afew years ago the chandler fight would go like the Conor vs Eddie fight but now with Conor's new worse style and how he lives now its a closer fight.

@@jonathanhall9726 Chandler does NOT gas faster than Conor... and Conor looks in AWFUL shape and he was already declining quickly last time out. This could be a mismatch, however, it might be a mismatch in favour of Chandler at this point.

Cool Eddie Alvarez. Best out to this warrior. So many great fights he's been in and won some outrageously great bouts against mankillers. That Justin G. knee from our dude Eddie was such a mind blower. THAT was one of the best ones you could see, being an Alvarez fan. Anyway, God bless this lad and Ariel and out to the MMAfightingonSBN crew.

I have always respected Eddie's take on the business side of MMa but he has to know that Chandler and himself are on very different paths right now. Chandler being on the same exact one Eddie was on just 5 years ago. Now, Chandler sits around the top and Eddie is on his 3rd promotion in 5 years. Nothing good comes from a 3rd fight between the two for anyone but Eddie. The fight wouldn't be anywhere near as big as he thinks either. Chandler v Olivera/Gaethje/Porier 2 would double it. Better relationship with the UFC brass could've helped his cause as well. Respect to Eddie but keep it real.
