Non teachers don’t understand. I’m a different kind of tired on Fridays. No, I’m not coming out tonight. I also need my Saturday to decompress, clean my house, eat and pee. I need my Sunday to go through all the stages of grief plus lesson plan. Try me again in June. 😏

Former teacher here, absolutely wasn't my first choice but the idea of being home when my kids were sounded good.That is until I realized by the time I made it home I didn't want to see kids anymore.

Bless y'all. I did subbing in college and figured out quickly that it was the most expeditious route for me to land behind bars. Now they can't pay subs enough to come in schools. Hell they pay y'all pennies when you should be receiving what admin gets😮

I got my degree and teacher cert in 1999. I taught for three years after college, then I enlisted in the Marine Corps. 3 years as a teacher told me I would be much better off financially with military benefits and a pension. I am teaching school again, but my stress level is minuscule because I don't worry too much about money. Do what you can for your kids in your classroom. Remember, at the end of the day, you aren't raising them. Don't take responsibility for their failures. If admin adds one more bullshit redundancy to your workload, wait until they follow up. If they don't, fuck em.

As a former teacher, Yes most of the teachers I’ve met are teachers because of the long breaks , snow days, holidays once a month, early dismissals,and the ability to eventually become admin. But few were teachers because they wanted to teach especially once they met their first class.

I'm a teacher and I've tolerated it now for 10+ years‼️ Just like Alcoholics Anonymous & Narcotics Anonymous have a lead off statement...this is my TA/Teachers Anonymous lead of statement for my circle of teachers‼️ Oh and when we say it we're holding a glass of wine 🍷 ‼️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is so true. My husband thought I was cheating on him because I left home @8am and returned@9pm the entire time I was in the building preparing for the first day of class..smh
