One of the most perfect records ever made by one of rock and roll's absolute masters. He is greatly, greatly missed.

Great footage. Thanks so much for sharing. Wish there was more of Eddie out there on film. Wonderful talent and very good looking. What a loss. Wish he was still with us today. Very tragic.

WOW! Now this is an oldie....I don't even remember this one by Eddie....sweet work with the reverb to sell a pop record. Also, love those cat-eyeglasses...what's weird is that nowadays I've seen plenty of young women wearing glasses very, very similar to that style. Ten years from now they'll see their old photos of themselves and say, "Whoa! Look at my glasses....so tiny and slitty...it's a miracle I could see properly!"

he lives on through his fans. Otherwise he would have been forgotten a long time ago. This is a unique case in the history.

I guess she's shy, it was a big deal to appear on television like that. I think she's freaking out on inside but is trying to keep cool to not ruin Eddie's number.

In those early days of TV, things were live and the kids were just afraid they might do something bad.

Most or all in US have no clue about Eddie or Gene and that's a crying shame as what they did and how many musicians they influenced, esp in Europe, beginning with The Beatles and many more. One of the few US Rockers I know that was heavily influenced by Eddie was Jimi Hendrix. K, he was not my cup of tea except a couple of songs BUT that man wanted Eddie's "Nervous Breakdown" played at his funeral. He got it. When I was visiting my cousins in MN (Minneapolis) 2006 I wanted to go down to Albert Lea (Eddie was born there in Oct, 1938) to check the museum where they had some Eddie stuff, his black leather pants, silver vest, red/black checkerd shirt & black shoes from NME Poll Winners Concert in UK, 1960. My cousine is a wiz coming to computers, but she wanted to check up this small town. How hard can that be? I mean, just Google it. Eh, she came back after a while, when I had breakfast, and said, like she was ashamed: "I couldn't find the town of Albert Lee at the border to IA" Ha Ha...I told her it spelled Albert Lea. We really had a good laugh - I, a guy from an alien country, namely Sweden knew how to spell that city in MN, and tell her the short version of Eddie, and she had no clue. It was damn crazy. But she learnt as later, without me saying anything we went down to Clear Lake, last gig of Buddy Holly, Ritchie & Jape Richardson aka The Big Bopper. They died Feb 3, 1959 in that air crash. Anyway, my cousin Lois also took me to that place were the accident that killed them all, included pilot Roger Peterso (only 21 years old) It was really something she made for me. BUT one gotta wake up people. Thanks letting me rant. ;O)
