kstud LOL I know. It seems alot of it is mental. I know if I'm feeling mentally "weak" it translates to physical weakness. I could bench 350 then one day I was benching alone, without a spotter. feeling kinda bad and got hung up under 275. I had to lay the weight on my chest while I, with one hand, pushed the weights off one end of the bar. LOL. Luckily, no one saw me screw up.)))

He began to chant "ALLAHU AKBAR" "ALLAHU AKBAR" about forty times, he was so disturb, disturb he was. Ready for the kill i am, he though to himself, as he sharpens his blade. Then suddenly he rose up and ran towards Sterocheat? Shameful with haste and chop off his dick instead because no balls was in place and his hands too. Pushing him to the ground he shouted "ALLLLLAAAAAHHHHU UUU AKBAR". He realized he was not done, saw NOKO lying flat on the ground, roll the heavy weight because he knew that only MR. HALL can lift it by himself, pushed it over his neck and head stopping him from breathing instantly, THE END.

***** George is only 3 years younger than Eddie. Also George tends to get hurt more than Eddie, that kind of thing accumulates quickly. Take a look at Laurence Shahlaei. He'd have been right up there with Eddie if his lat didn't blow out two years ago. Since then he's been hurt seriously several times a year. Other than being a straight beast, one of the reason Eddie is going to keep pushing the record is because he doesn't get hurt nearly as much as other strongmen/powerlifters.

Is it weird that when I saw 1020 lbs, I thought "Wow, only 4 lbs away from a gigibyte"

No one uses a spotter for deadlift because you can put the weight down at any moment

He should follow pole-vaultting Bubka's lead and set twenty world records over ten years, one kilo at a time.

Okay, help me out on this. At the 2:19 mark, just before he moves onto the platform, he stops and brings his right hand up to his face. Watch carefully.....it sure looks like he inhaled something and, when he opened/raised his hand, a white powdery substance drifts away. I know he probably uses some type of powder for gripping the bar, but it sure looks like he is inhaling something. Any thoughts? Thanks.

not sure if it was a menthol type natural stimulant like I've seen years ago

It is something so he doesn't pass out :) a lot of heavy lifters use it I'm not exactly sure what though..

That would be "smelling salts" aka ammonia. Look up the wikipedia page if you want a full description of what they are and the effect they have. A lot of people in powerlifting/strongman use them to stay alert and at maximum capacity during an attempt.

That's insane. It's hard to comprehend a human lifting that weight so easily. Just wondering here (nothing in between the lines, all due respect to Eddie...) is there an event where all types of lifts are tested for world records, championships, etc... without wrist wraps, lifting belts, shirts, etc...? I still count this as a genuine record, I just have a side of thought where I am curious about absolute "pure" strength without any human invention involved. For example I love the Atlas stone lift, even if some special attire is needed there... I'd like to see a very natural, maybe no steroids, special clothing, etc... and not even a bar to grab, for some event if it exists. If not, just the basics with a bar but without any help. Is there an event like that?

Yes...I remember Lance Armstrong....I was disappointed....I was impressed by the 4 1st place win Tour de France but when I heard about the steroids...what a let down.

Made that look very easy..Plenty more in the tank if it came to it. Well done Eddy Hall. Only 26 years old.. Future world strong man. Just a matter of time.
