Leg kicks are evil, even to a fully trained fighter. I'm kinda amazed that only a couple of people in MMA ever made full use of them and they dropped off a whole lot in modern MMA. Take a guys legs and movement is gone, support against takedowns is gone and shooting for takedowns is a lot harder.

@@maggoteater2290The reason many don't overdo it on a professional level is because they're usually up against opponents that know how to check a good leg kick. And checking a good leg kick on the right spot can be as damaging to the kicker as recieving an accurate leg kick unchecked by a kicker.

One of my friends is quite high up in professional Muay Thai and we were talking about leg kicks and I said I cant imagine that it hurts that much < biggest mistake ever. So I get him a free shot and he got just above my knee, on the side of the thigh, and i just dropped, my entire leg went into an awful spasm and i genuinely thought he broke my leg. Massive bruise and I struggled to put weight on the leg for a good week. To my shock he said that he only put about a quarter into that, so he could have hit four times harder XD even more shocking is that he said in plenty of fights he has had to deal with full strength kicks constantly, so a lot of working out he does also involves conditioning shins and thighs otherwise "I would drop down like you" lol

Also if you raise your leg you won't have that problem because even if you can't take the force, your body rotates along with the kick so you won't break your knee as easily. If you manage to block the kick then put your leg on the ground and punch him in the face he most likely hasn't regained his balance i you do it fast. Kicks are relly dangerous in fights because even people who haven't been trained can do it really hard and if you don't know how to take it you can break your knee also kicks are usually used to target big muscles like thighs and calfs that also hinder the fighting ability of the opponent

I love how Tom locked eyes with Eddie when he said “I will hurt you” I feel like he knew he had to be serious for a second just to clarify that he would in fact do a lot of damage to him, and I appreciate that Eddie didn’t have an ego, and insist. Eddie Hall reminds me of this guy, Jerry, i use to work with that passed away... One of the nicest people you could ever meet. We would carpool to work. One day when he was dropping me off at home, i had mentioned how i just got a new washer and dryer delivered, but the delivery people wouldn't bring them upstairs, so they were sitting in my garage, so i asked if he could give me a hand, of course he said yes, but now i was thinking that I'd grab a side, he'd grab a side, and we'd carry them upstairs... nope, he walked over, grabbed the dryer, leaned back, and carried it upstairs by himself, came back down and did the same thing with the washer... my daughter at the time was 3 or 4yrs old, and Jerry was wearing an old t-shirt with the superman S on it, so from that day forward, my daughter referred to him as "superman"... R.I.P. Jerry... 29 was way too young for the world to lose such a great soul...
@guardmyrift3136 Жыл бұрын
I fully think people just burn their bodies up with that strength. My dad was stout when I was little, I remember seeing him (post argument with my mom) storm out of the house and a straight six from a ford maverick was in the barn doorway. He one hand grabbed it by the carburetor and moved it out of his path. He ended up passing away at a young 44 years old, but I'll never forget how he was in his prime, and all the lessons he taught me over the years I had him with me.
@anthonycasa694 Жыл бұрын
@@guardmyrift3136 My buddy Jerry did a lot of steroids and pain killers, sucks, because he was a great person, he was such a big guy, that his heart didn't stand a chance. Sorry, about your father, but it is great that you remember everything he taught you... I am trying to instill all the knowledge i have, in my daughter... We live in a city, so i tried to get her into the magnet school because it has an 8 out of 10 rating, but they only have a certain amount of openings, well my daughter didn't get in, and the only other school in our district has a 2 out of 10 rating, so we decided to homeschool, which was the best decision I've ever made. The school's yearly curriculum is so dumbed down because there is 1 teacher per 30+ students, so they spend a week teaching something that should have been learned in 20 minutes, but since the kids don't listen, the class clown is acting up, and little timmy has the I.Q. of a summer squash, the teacher has to go over the same thing 1000 times. It took us less than a month and a half to knock out the curriculum for the whole year, now it takes a little longer because she is a bit older and learning more intricate things... but after we would knock out the school's curriculum, i would spend the time teaching her things that everyone should know, such as, taxes, cooking, cleaning, sewing, how to grow a garden, how to weld, masonry, how to change a tire, oil, spark plugs, how to fell a tree with a chainsaw, etc... plus we also spend our time doing things that we enjoy, like target practice, shooting pool, air hockey, hiking, riding dirt bikes, camping, etc... I'm building a tube chassis "race" car, nothing special, it is an 87 monte carlo ss powered by an LS with a 7875, but my daughter has bent and welded every piece of the tube chassis... have i mentioned she is 12 yrs old? She is also really into art, and she wanted to turn her drawings into animations, unfortunately, i had no idea how to do that, so she watched a video, taught herself how to make videos, and now she has her own KZbin channel, sure she only has 600 subscribers, and most of her videos only have a couple thousand views, i think her most viewed video has 39,000 views. I thought I'd have to turn of commenting on her videos, but surprisingly, the comments have all been very wholesome, everyone telling her how good her drawings and animations are, how her videos should have more upvotes, etc... I've only seen one shitty comment from someone, and my daughter didn't even reply to them, but the other people that saw the shitty comment, did, and they tore him up, lol... about 3 weeks ago, my daughter had us rescue a 6 week old puppy, we weren't sure she'd make it because she was in such deplorable conditions, she was so skinny, lethargic, infested with fleas, and poop worms, but now she is super healthy, she has almost doubled in weight, no more fleas, no more worms, and she has tons of energy... if you want to see the puppy, you can look up my name, i posted a couple videos... Anyways, sorry about the novel, I'm just a proud father that can yap about my kid for days lol...
