Eddie said that no one had ever coached the perfect game. He would want to coach the perfect game. Imagine, he said, being in control from the first minute to the 80th minute. He must have come mightily close to coaching the perfect game in that historic semi final win against the All Blacks. England dominated that game from the first to the 80th minute against the best in the World. A line-out overthrow apart, their dominance was absolute in every phase of the game: line-outs, scrums, mauls, rucks, turnovers, collisions, ripped balls, tackling etc. I have never an England side play better. I have never seen an All Blacks side more dominated in any game, by anyone. They were kept in a stranglehold throughout the game, and were simply not allowed to play. Top marks to the England coaches who coached the team to such a dominant performance.

That's one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Brilliant questions from Guillem Balague, and insightful answers from Master coach Eddie Jones. There's definitely something to learn here, and clues into how he manages to get the best from his team. I'm going to try to find and read his book suggestion about sports psychology: Heads-Up Baseball 2.0 - Dr Ken Ravizza, and Dr. Tom Hanson. Fascinating stuff! Good luck England in the RWCF 2019! 'May the Force be with You!'

i just love this man's irrepressible joy ,confidence and humour and humility {the ability to see what's real and not bullshit himself}. It's absolutely contagious. what a brilliant educator.bit similar charisma to bob hawke. eddie just thrives on the conflict and the contest on and off the field

Why can’t rugby journalist’s ask deep meaning questions like this instead of the rubbish they go on about. Brilliant interview.

It's past the '19 World Cup now and this bloke didn't take England anywhere other than runner-up..........and since that loss in the final England hasn't impressed with the loss to France..............so what's next...........I think France will win the six nations this year............they've got a good coach as a start point......this one's a blow hard unfortunately.

wasnt pretty but they did it! "this bloke didn't take England anywhere other than runner-up" you fucked in the head from not making it past groups to being in the grand final of the rugby world cup is a daym well high achievement just get get stumped by a red hot south african monster of a team. They fucked the all blacks in the semi ffs what more can you ask from a coach???????

@@Zinkx. You miss the point Axis. England have a blow hard aussie coach. For all his pontificating 'his' team comes up short. It would be better for the Brits to have a british coach and not an antipodian mercenary don't you think.
