Prince gave her the name Apollonia when she became the co-star of his movie Purple Rain. They also co- wrote & sang a song on the movie. She dated (according to diary)Prince. Prince was her only friend when she dated David Lee Roth. She formed her own band, she was crowned Miss San Pedro and was a magazine model. She had many accomplishments, but 30 some yrs as Prince's best friend, to me, was her greatest accomplishment! Real name was Patricia Kotero. Oh, she was also a Los Angeles Rams cheerleader in 1978. She is now 58.

Fun fact: Later in life, Eddie admitted he did indeed say, “her t*ts were shakin," but he got away with it because nobody really noticed it until it was too late. It actually made it on the radio that way, too. In an interview, he said he thought it was funny at the time, but he regretted it later because the song might have been an even bigger hit lol

@@christopherharris3229 Nope. But to be fair, it's quite similar. Money and his manager addressed this before his death. Via Rolling Stone: "Eddie Money: You know what? Nobody noticed it and [my manager] Bill Graham was so, so pissed off at me because he said that could’ve been a Top Five single, and “you and your sophomoric f*cking bullsh*t, now I can’t get it on the radio.” But when I talked to people, they go, “I loved it when you said that! Wow!” Rolling Stone: You didn’t make a clean radio version? Eddie Money: No, there was never a radio version because nobody caught it til the end. *Yeah, I said it* and I thought it was funny, but in the long run I wish I wouldn’t have said it because that record probably would’ve went double platinum. Eddie Money is one of my favorite artists/songwriters. There are just too many great songs to list here. The Eddie money universe is a rabbit hole you can get lost in for a long long time. You mentioned Two tickets to paradise which is a great song, but damn near every song on that first album was a banger. One song you should consider reaction to by Mr Eddie Money is "running away" from his "no Control" album. The same album as "Shakin". Thanks brother.

1982. This was 2 years before Appollonia was in Purple Rain. Prince used to record in Saucelito. Meanwhile, Eddie Money was recording + living in Berkeley. Randy Oda, bass guitar, wrote this with EM. Late Tom Dowd, who produced the Eric Clapton/Jim Gordon song Layla, produced this + remaining songs from the album No Control. In the same year, Rosanna was also a song played by Toto. The 2 Rosannas have nothing to do with the other. Another 9 years before EM saw his manager Bill Graham, who would die in a helicopter crash in Oct 1991. I'll Get By is dedicated to him. RIP Eddie Money, Bill Graham, Tom Dowd

I once stood in a thunderstorm/flash flood with rain literally almost up to my knees (and I'm short!) with black eyeliner running down my face & my hair soaked, (I was having a blast tho jamming & dancing in the rain, it takes more than that to stop good music for me!) BTW, it was at one of his outdoor concerts, they eventually made him shut it down early bc of winds & lightning, although he even tried to start it back up bc the crowd wasn't leaving that easily, we were screaming for an Encore! He even came back To the stage and he and the band started the music back up again, but the safety people crew (whatever they're called) came on stage and shut it down for safety reasons, He was originally scheduled for meet n greets after the show but unfortunately the storm forced them to cancel that too. Sucks bc I was so looking forward to meeting him that night. Im thankful that I got the opportunity and experience that I was given and appreciated in just being there in the moment tho! He seemed like such a cool dude,..so energetic and awesome performance, he seemed pretty down to earth judging from that experience, it's def one that's logged away in my memories forever💲♥️🔥🤘🏼🎸🎶☔️✔️
