Eddie & The Showmen - Live at the Hollywood Bowl (Oct. 19, 1963 - complete set)

One of the few known vintage live performances from this dynamite L.A. surf act. As with The Challengers, Eddie & The Showmen were an offshoot of the fabulous Bel-Airs, one of the most influential early surfin' bands. This set was recorded live at the Hollywood Bowl as part of KFWB's "Y-Day" celebration on October 19, 1963.

Maybe the best instrumental surf group of them all ! To bad there never was a Liberty album released, only 5-6 singles. The later released CD was boss though. When will Sundazed release an album with their 45s ?

well Larry, Carlton, wasn't with us that day (October 19, 1963... tho he later replaced me, when i left the band for USC) -Robbie Edwards was our great great (other)rhythm guitar - my good friend and next-door neighbor - Simply Wonderful days... we were a super band!
