GitHub Repo Rules

You are probably using Git Ignore in your Repo and you might be using Global Git Ignore in your environment, but GitHub has just announced a Repo Ignore! This will prevent contributors pushing commits that break any of the file path rules.
Let's discuss the Pros and Cons of each of these solutions.
