Hey there, I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . Your problem could be that your stop loss is way too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

Don't let them discourage you, don't give up. Trading takes years to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them, moving stops to BE may help. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators or rsi into your strategy to make your entries better and prevent overtrading. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later .

You're right, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. I think the most important thing you should know is staying away from the lower TF. Also, it's important to keep an eye on the environment too, ie DXY if it isn't doing too well or is a bit choppy, chances are dollar denominated pairs are in for a ride too. In this case, it's probably better to get in and out of your positions quicker

This means that any non-zero trading fee will reduce your net gain below 2%. You would need a trading platform that charges 0% trade fees, or the stock price would need to increase by 4%, not 2%, per trade. All he said is that his goal was 2% per trade. Many exchanges will take like %0.4 or even less. If you notice some of his trades were 1% some were 3%. I noticed one was 5%. So if he's averaging an actual percentage gain of something like 2.4% he's realizing a gain of %2 profit after exchange fees. Exchange fees usually aren't THAT bad. Because they make money no matter what all the time 24/7/365 ! The real bummer are taxes but that's way too much to go into in a video. You also have to consider he might be making 3, 4, 5, or even more trades a day, some losers some winners. It's all about consistently getting SOME profit and compounding it as often as possible.

It won't work. The exchanges take 1% on either side of the trade. You would need to make 4% per trade, a much taller order.

When reading with margin it is likely higher though so you’re right, as soon as you start any trade you are already down a percent or two (depending on how much you invest). This along with taxes has to be faced in to your profit margins. I used to do very quick $1000 trades using 100x margin and pocket $60 in a minute it two. It’s very easy to win trades like that. However after factoring in $18-$40 in fees plus another few percent to withdraw and another $10 to transfer your winnings your down to almost nothing and that’s before the government takes 30% of your profits. Best to find out exactly what fees are charged in all cases and factor them into your trading plan.

This doesn't seem to work - the exchange I use like coinspot , the fee is 1 percent when I buy and 1 percent when I sell , so a profit of 3 percent ends up just 1 percent of real profit

yes, why not,..you have stop loss, you may exit at 0,5% for example,..if its go in desired direction you may get for 1% movement of price 5.000$ or 10.000$ (50 or 100 % leverage),..your risk is only 2500$

I’m glad you mentioned the fees. I personally like this strategy a lot, but you need to make sure to clear enough to cover buy and sell fees. Especially if starting out with a smaller budget. Trading fees can be much higher for lower volume accounts, which can make catching a 2% gain slightly difficult.
