Well, very much inspired by your encouragement! And let's face it, other (better) coaches have been saying all this stuff for years.

Really good tips and information Matt. Great to see other paddlers in the video showing different methods/techniques too.

Any advice getting "stuck" upside down on strong eddylines?... 🙃
@MatthewBrookKayaking5 ай бұрын
Can you elaborate on what you mean? Without seeing you paddle, the best advice I can give for rolling in sticky situations is be patient and keep trying; all eddylines eventually run out of steam.

@@MatthewBrookKayaking that's EXACTLY the answer. It's the calming down/patience thing that sometimes gets me. Thank you for replying, 🙂 I'm guessing you can "feel" when the roll might be hindered a bit and to just calm down (easier said, lol).

@@tag5504 well, I'm glad you find it helpful. Over time you develop a feeling for whether things are working or not, but often it's just a case of allowing yourself to focus and reset.

@@victorthomas4897 The small Ripper is a phenomenal boat, but if you're looking for something both small and short in length, I'd suggest perhaps trying the small Dagger Axiom or small Jackson Antix. There are plenty of options out there, but the best thing to do is try boats for yourself and see what you find comfortable.
