I’m pretty sure almost every cuber who is decently fast already does it. But if you are talking about the whole population of people, including non-cubers, then maybe 99% of people don’t do a sune that way.

i cna do it in 0.7 my way but im not even gonna try good finger tricks till my speedcube comes in the mail. my niece shattered my old one into a million pieces and my mom threw them away cuz she didnt know it went back together lol. that was like a year ago tho, so all ive had is a shitty 4x4

Push moves are slower than other moves though, it would be better to do the first U by pinching on the U layer and the second U move can be done with the middle finger

Yeah, I do the same. Feels much faster when you're already in home grip. I'm surprised how many people don't use alternative fingers for normal turns.

actually push moves are only a bit slower compared to normal moves, while at the same time equal or even a bit faster than the pinch ones. the only thing slower than a pinch move is a drag move. and the reason to all that is friction

I remember finding a different finger trick online Grip the FRU corner with the thumb and index and BRU corner with the middle finger, have the other two on the B side. Do R as normal, then do U with your thumb and index, making sure to leave your middle finger on the corner it was on. If you now wrist turn R', your middle finger can be used to flick the next U. Then do R U2 R', using the left hand for U2. Works nicely on stiff cubes like mine

There are 2 other ways which can be equally fast. 1. Flick the up with the left index finger from the front. 2. After the first U with the right index finger, while I do R', I can push the next U with my right pinky from the back

That alg (Niklas) is good for COLL, which is solving all the corners entirely, orientation and permutation. The RU gen alg is better though if you don't know how to recognise Sune COLLs. Niklas solves thar case exactly.

I have my right pointer finger resting on the bottom right corner so when I do R, I can use my pointer to do U, then I do R', and I do the other U with my middle finger. The rest is just R U2'(left hand) R'

that's actually a very good way of doing it and I like it, but still just a tiny bit worse than the one showed in the video I believe. I experimented and the only reason for that is that with yours there is just a tiny bit of unnecessary extra effort that don't give any advantage compared to this guy's, speedwise tho I think they are almost the same

it's really difficult to imrove / fix a move once muscle memory steps in. Maybe it is bettter to practice it as it was like a different one. Older ones gonna fade out during time once you don't prefer it anymore. :/

No alg lasts a week of practicing a new alg daily to replace it. If you stop cubing for a while, maybe yes, you might remember the older one. But if you cube daily muscle memory gets overwritten fairly quickly

Instead of doing the U push with the left hand, you can do the pinch U with your right hand, and the other U with the middle finger. However this is just personal preference
Just do the Taiwanese beginners method. It's fully intuitive

I can't be only one that doesn't regrip at all in this algorithm. I just do the R normally and while doing it tilt the cube a bit towards me and do the U by flicking (instead of pushing ) with my left index finger.

You can do the same with other algorythm. Twist the whole cube 1 time clockwise as a starting position (that front yellow piece should be on your left) and do “L’ U2 L U L’ U L”. Same result, more intuitive algorythm (for me)

I do (R U R’) with pinch turns and the U after that is done with my right hand. R done with right hand, U2 done with left, and R’ with right. I only use push turns situationally and sune is too simple for push
