Per Wikipedia, Ms. Froos lived long enough to see her musical shorts played on TCM, creating a new following for her.

Rollerskating was the most popular date night for Americans back in the 30s… My grandmother told me all about her romance with my grandfather. End it all evolved at Shadeland Park rollerskating rink and Shadeland… Pennsylvania right outside of Albion.

The roller skates were a visual gimmick in this film to the point of absurdity.

Tyrone Power was perfect in The Eddy Duchin Story (he did the best job of "faking the piano"--and I'm a pianist quo have ever seen in film. And there's quite a resemblance between Power and Duchin. This was really neat to see... thanks!

This video is of my grandfather. He died in 1946, and I was born in 1950 so I never knew him or heard his voice before. I found it when I was looking for pictures of San Francisco's 3rd Street Bridge, which is named after him.

what film is this from? gee, the styles, the everything- women's makeup, Sylvia Froos flourishes with her hands and arms while she sang, every 30s woman singing does those same moves- very topical! so interesting it really is.

Doubtful, considering when Duchin died in 56 he was 40, anyone in this clip in their 20s would be over 100 years old now.
