As for visa application for Ugandans, it was because our leadership was still in good books with John Major and Tony Blair regimes and cheered as new breed of African leaders thus the need to curtail mass exodus telling all the gory stories of new regime. People from the previous Obote 2 regime played a role to ensure visas are needed because they told mzungus nnti those who removed them from power where following them into the diaspora. The regime too played a role by ensuring Uganda Airlines collapses because the sharp folks always told their people to get off at first stop over thus the massive presence of Ugandans in Sweden kubanga UQ had it first call. As for money transfers, we never knew the exchange rate always at the mercy of akka namba.

UNCLE SENDI,Uganda has never been a British colony but it was a Protectorate. Only Countries like Kenya were Colonies and that is why todate you find in Kenya most roads still have English names and areas like Karen Blixen whose name has an area called KAREN
