The line you asked about was "I never lost control". This is originally a David Bowie song, but when Bowie sings it, it sounds a lot less sad and more adventurous with a little melancholy. Nirvana completely made this song their own - they Nirvanified it and yes, it does have pretty sweeping sad overtones, but it's also so incredibly beautiful the way Kurt sings this song and the guitar work at the end is so moving. I have to say this is one of the rare times where the cover surpasses the original.
