There is nothing more calming than a purring cat. Give her a carboard box with a soft blanket or sweat shirt to sleep on. Cats love sleeping in boxes and will keep her warm at night.

Brandon I get flack from my own family about how I am feeding our chickens 🐓 (your recipe) but they sure don’t complain about the eggs they get. One thing to think about in helping keep the mice down. Throw your chicken feed out away from your building. I know the chickens eat it but they can't get all the feed dust off the ground too. And that draws the mice right to your building. 😊

That's helpful , for sure. One time, I had a half empty bag of cat feed. It was getting dark so I poured it in the driveway. We didn't get mice. We got a momma raccoon and her three kits feeding. It was so beautiful.

Personally I think mixing the feed is smart. Seasons change in the summer they may need less corn, in the winter they may need more. Also they get a variety in their diet.

I watched a video just recently I watched a video and they were talking about keeping predators at bay. They said that they take a bucket and when they clean out their cats litter box and put it in a bucket, when it gets full they take it to the fence line where the predators come in, the spread it along the fence and when it rains the kitty litter if it’s clay will break down and the cats waste will stay around and deter the predators. Worth a try.

I adopted a kitten 2 years ago and she has become a great mouser. She loves her bed that is a small box with a hole in it and a bed she can cuddle up in. I noticed you throwing the kitty litter out the door you really need to bag it up and throw it away otherwise it will build up and stink. I don't like cleaning the box but it's the trade of for no mice or chipmunks around the house. Enjoy her.😊

Not all cats will kill mice. Some kill and eat them and some just kill them by playing with them. And some don't do anything at all. A nice warm bed is needed for that kitty. Good luck. 🌿💛🌿

That kitten needs a companion. Keeping her in there all alone is like shutting a child up in a closet. Cats purr for several reasons, one of which is to calm themselves when they are stressed which can be related to longterm confinement. How many mice have you seen that she has eradicated? Since you come in and out through the door, she would most likely present you with a gift in front of it to be seen when you enter.

Just a suggestion but shadow is looking old enough to have babies if she’s really a girl. Cats can multiply very quickly. A lot easier to spay now and just get one more latter if u want another. I have a suggestion to eliminate your mouse problem kittens are slow learners. I milk dairy goats and cannot use poisons or cats in the milk barn. I have several traps called "tin cats" mice aren't very smart they will go in even if not baited. Curious mice will go in even if others are already in. Good Luck!

Wonder why the company did not put a monitor on the propane tank when it was installed. I thought that was standard as of at least a few years back. My cat, Princess Dianna is nearly 29 years old. She has kidney disease (approx. $250.00 every 7 weeks for prescription food), Hyperthyroidism and high blood pressure (2 more prescription). I just can’t put her down. So glad you are becoming buddies!

Hey Brandon try spraying the area in shed with vinegar to kill the smell of the mouse urine! Still think the plants are good to help destroy mice areas! Have Stephanie grow some lavender or peppermint seed around the area! Hope this help some!

Talk to the folks at your extension service. Animal husbandry folks will tell you that you should have at least one acre for each 3 goats you have. That healthy practice says you do not have enough space for the number of goats you have.

You needed to do electric heat. Propane is so expensive. I only use propane to cook with the rest of my home is electric. I wish it was natural gas but second to that it's electric.

Good idea about the propane monitor. We had a propane tank at a vacation home we had and the way we checked to see how much propane we had was to boil some water and pour it down the outside of the tank. We would run our hands down the tank and when our hand reached the line where it was cold on the upper part and warm on the bottom point we would order more propane. Never heard back then they had monitors. Horrible to run out of propane if you wanted to cook, take a shower or heat the house.

You are right about your fowls, my son used to live way up on top of a mountain and when it was cold all those chickens would get on top of their trailer and roost instead of going into the coop.
