Edelweiss Air A340-300 HB-JMG at Zurich Airport - new quadjet

The freshly painted Edelweiss A340 arriving and departing at it's home base Zürich.
SWISS' superb decision to transfer 3 Airbus A340's to its sister keeps the quadjet flying in Switzerland for at least the next 5 years!
Flights with this type are planned to as far as Hawaii, which would make EDW the first airline to serve a non-stop route from Europe.
HB-JMG seen here landing and taking off inbound Phuket. The other two -300's will be taken up this year by WK.

Edelweiss A340! This clip required a big amount of color correcting so the quality sucks. I am looking for a camera upgrade somewhere in the near future!

beautiful aircraft... how is it possible for an a340-300 to reach hawaii non stop from zurich? I can understand -500 but -300?

ZRH-HNL is around 12200km whereas the A343 can fly up to 7400nm which means 13700km. I guess it is possible! Let's see if it will come true. Thanks for watching
