Dans cette version d'éden, j'ai accentué la lumière et la transparence afin de donner à ce paysage plus figuratif qu'abstrait un caractère surnaturel, l'ambiance irréelle provenant principalement des zones de lumière vive dont on ne peut deviner la source avec certitude. La perspective spatiale quant à elle, contribue à apporter un peu de réalisme dans ce décors naturel au même titre que certains éléments d'allure végétale évoquant différentes formes de feuilles. De nombreuses couches de peinture en glacis ont été nécessaires pour représenter l'aspect diaphane du plan d'eau et de la végétation suspendue. La dominante de couleurs bleues accentue également cette impression d'ambiance féerique et mystérieuse. Ce travail à été ponctué d'un certain nombre de pauses permettant le recul nécessaire à la réalisation de cet équilibre fragile entre figuration et abstraction.
In this version of Eden, I accentuated the light and transparency to give this landscape more figurative than abstract a supernatural character, the unreal atmosphere mainly coming from areas of bright light whose source can not be guessed with certainty. The spatial perspective, on the other hand, contributes to bring a little realism in this natural setting as well as some elements of plant appearance evoking different forms of leaves. Many layers of glaze paint were required to depict the diaphanous aspect of the water and suspended vegetation. The dominant blue colors also accentuates this impression of fairy and mysterious atmosphere. This work was punctuated by a number of pauses allowing the necessary retreat to achieve this fragile balance between figuration and abstraction.
