Whereas it emphasizes strict discipline, social and academic, it also allows flexibility and breaks down the old communication barriers created by a command and control rigid system.
Eden allows free speech, free interaction between staff and students, and mutual respect. Nothing symbolizes this more than the fact that students and staff all have meals together in the same dining hall. Students are allowed freely in the staff room to sit and consult with their teachers and personal tutors.
