From the previous performances she's done on the homeland in the past they were quite disappointing and the set/songs were arranged hella different to the point they sounded unrecognizable plus the tempos were way to fast for Lauryn's raps. I love what she's done with this set here yes she's throwing in different elements still but sticking to the song format or layout. She and her band have really redeemed themselves f.r. this is a Live Experience and I'm sure alot of people went home buzzing. Well done Miss Lauryn Hill & her Band seriously work at merit..Siiiic show🤘🤘

🙋🏾‍♀️ so my cousin said she perform in her home state in Newark New Jersey, October 17, 2023. She was two hours late y’all now I don’t know and they say she didn’t sound good when she family came out her in the Fugees she rushed everything and she didn’t sound very good so I don’t know I was not there my cousin was there, and was disappointed.. I know since she’s been back out performing she hasn’t been late any of her new performances she’s been coming in on time nobody has been complaining and now all of a sudden last night October 17. Allegedly she was two hours late and didn’t sound well 🧐.so I don’t know about buying a ticket for the next show here in New York🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

@@timsmith8506 I went to BK. She was late (2 hours) but I thought she was great and the Fugees were hype. The songs aren't the exact renditions from the Mis-Education album, as you can hear on this video. I think some folks don't understand different rhythmic choices being made and were disappointed by that. But for a live concert, I expect a fresh experience.

They deliberately turn the sound down on her mic when she sings (unless she's speaking or rapping I noticed). I can see she is super controlling everyone else to compensate for the fact she has lost her ability to sing like she did when she was young. She needs to adjust her songs significantly to accommodate her aging vocals...

Her voice comes and goes but it’s still beautiful and much more soulful and powerful than 98% of singers today! I love her voice. She doesn’t sound bad, it’s just people expect her to be flawless like her younger voice..she spoke about the voice 21 years ago on Unplugged! She sounded amazing on there as well. Do Mariah sound the same? Hell No! 😆 Go Lauryn! 👑
