Forza 2 was the first one I played in 2011. Loved this game I still remember the glitch to buy anything for free, or straight up buy locked cars 😂. This one, and forza 4 were definitely my fav ones

I played this game on my step sister console and I noticed that the car on disk case is Nissan but the car on guide book is Aston Martin (or the other way), they are shot on the same way in both picture's and the livery's are almost the same... I'm embarrassed that I only noticed when a little brother of hers told me

The one thing I miss the most is that the early forza included aftermarket tuner cars such as Example HKS Evo, Mine' R32 and R34. I kinda miss seeing those and alot others in the games.

The booklet you get with the Limited Edition is an actual 'racing guide', teaching you about tuning your car, oversteer, understeer, how to go around corners, tips and tricks... It was great. I still got it. This game was amazing.

You should try Enthusia Professional Racing for the PS2, this game could've outrun Gran Turismo if it only was released prior to GT4. Another cool forgotten game would be Import Tuner Challenge for the Xboxx 360, the last true Tokyo Xtreme Racer game made by Genki.

C1 Racing Battle was the last true Genki Racing game, it had everything, from circuit tracks, to real highways races Shutokou battle X offered nothing but Customization (which was the game strongest point, maybe graphics too with cockpit view) but it was so lacking overall, & too short, despite the newly introduced roads layouts & different weather & day of time, it was missing lot to make up for it, it had high potential to be better, the car list was the weakest in the entry with not much to offer, no foreigner cars either, only japanese

Forza Motorsport 2 has always been my favourite and I will continue to keep going back to it. Even if we have amazing new racing games and visuals looking photorealistic. FM2 will always be a gem to me.

Played a ton of FM2 and PGR3/4 back when the 360 was fresh. Then moved on to other racing games. Going back to FM2 with an emulator i was shocked just how good that game still is. No convoluted menus or disastrous understeer like FM7 We had it so good back then ...

Before even watching I know I'll love this. Forza motorsport 2 was So Goddamn good! I loved the fact it actually used engine codes for engine swaps Little details they've lost over time

the region system worked back in the day because you would buy locked cars from other regions at the auction house, like you do with rare cars in fh, but it got shut down in 2013

that's actually a great point, auction house was the way to profit with the region locks in FM2. The games (since Fm1) had a great online presence.

This and the 1st are quite underrated, a lot of pepole talk about FM3 and post but this was the OG game, it even has better damage than the newer games! I crashed a mini and the lower rear came out so i saw the exaust, it's a great combination of the things Forza is known for and some of Gran Turismo's

I picked up FM2 again recently. Awesome game. Some interesting, random cars in there that weren't featured in any of the Forza games that came after it. It has some of the best engine sounds in the entire franchise and they actually change when you put different exhausts on the car. Also, really good physics. The cars don't feel as weighty as in FM3 and 4, which perhaps isn't the most realistic thing, but it makes drifting really controllable. FM2 is hands down my favourite Forza game to drift in.

For me FM3 and 4 are both mythical gods of the racing games, took me a while to get my hands on them and the moment i did i violently jizzed everywhere from the sheer awesomeness of the games, wich took a while since my family has always had PS consoles after the PS1 came out, before we were nintendo gang.

Legit, the last month or so, i've been grinding FM2 again, even just lapping the nurburgring in cars I otherwise wouldn't drive, just because I liked to. The only thing that would need improving to me, would be track selection, though I love FM2's maple Valley, the OLD silverstone layout, mugello, even the likes of sebring that I don't normally care for, feels fun to drive in this game. Every aspect of this game is so charming as shit for me : The car selection, the car customisation (which will pleasantly suprise you if you replay this game, the likes of a pontiac GTO 04 having a shit load of customisation, like what? Being able to rice all the shitty cars, mwah, chefs kiss), the UI Graphics, the graphics overall, the regional structure, progression, the driving and more. While this is most certainly nostalgia speaking, in my eyes, FM2 is the best forza. OBJECTIVELY, FM4, is the best forza, but FM2 is the best for me just because of how nostalgically, charming as shit for me. To put into perspective, no other game can compel me to lap the nurburgring in a fucking stock porsche boxster, a car i find otherwise boring as fuck and it annoys us in real life, i had fun driving it in this game.

FM3 with the secret cars and tuner house special cars like TOMS was such a good way to pull in a clear audience. I hope Turn10 can do the same, but not just japanese tuner special cars, but tuners around the world if licensing is possible. Imagine the Ring Brother's muscle cars in conjunction with renewed TOMS, Apex'i, Spoon, Hoonigan etc cars Now that's a way to differentiate from Gran Turismo

Compared to the modern generation of motorsport games, FM2 has so many things that they just lack. I feel like at the time when competition between production of racing games was at its peak, the developers, which I find hard to believe is Microsoft, put so much passion and love into FM2. This one really stands out more than the others.

Stumbling upon the original Forza was like finding a diamond in the dirt. Low hype before it’s release, and it turned out to be the best racing game in the original Xbox. Forza 2 was incredible as well, and technically “better”. But I remember it was plagued by jaggies and not as big of a generational jump as a lot of us expected. Take this from someone who was a memeber of the forza forums back in the day and posted on the forums hundred of times before it’s release. I will admit I did spend hours upon hours drifting in the sunset infield after finally getting Xbox live after years of wanting it.

The tommy Kiara Subaru Impreza 22b is my fav car in this game its Hella quick once u do all the upgrades to it and handles really well absolute best and my 2nd fav would be the west wings civic again hands down great car haha won so many races with that

I had the complete edition of Motorsport 2, but I unfortunately lost the main disc to it somehow. However, I recently got a copy of the main game for my birthday this year, and I was also still able to download the extra dlc from that bonus disc that I still had and it's a lot of fun!

I entered the forza franchise with forza motorsport 3. That to me is the best because of one reason: tires. The tire models in that game are true to real life. It takes 2 or 3 laps to get heat into them and for me that was very important. Forza motorsport 4 carried it on but thats when the more aracade game play started to come in. The newer games you have all 4 tires up to temp by the exit of turn one its sad

Protip: Always buy the race differential. Especially on AWD cars. It lets you move the torque distribution front/rear. You should NEVER be getting throttle oversteer in an AWD car lol. It's cheap, REDUCES your PI if anything (it weighs a tiny bit more), and can quickly and easily make your car much more stable. Increasing the percentages in the respective regime (acceleration vs deceleration) will generally increase understeer, but only to a point. Like all things it's a dance to get it tuned perfect but it's easy to get an improvement using it.

FM1 is the best game for car enthusiasts. The car culture it exhudes is better than Underground and Gran Turismo. Great tracks, both musically and driving. Great controls and quality of life. More interesting gameplay. FM4 only comes second and from here the next greatest Forza is Horizon 4. Horizon 5 is absurdely good on the technical side but has weaker environment and less interesting setting. Also too many SUVs. Sprint races by night were so cool.

more cars and higher quality standards means its about 100x more work to include a good damage model for every car, when you can just get away with a base texture layer of dents and scratches. lot of people will say manufacturer demands but afaik there is no proof of this and the AC developer has said it wasnt true
