Last time I checked, Nigeria’s currency was still the Naira. Why are the prices in U.S dollars? Or is it because it’s all “imported”? Oh please, we need to change our mentality and values. I struggled to watch to the end because I am genuinely interested in the idea and will most likely be making further enquiries, but please, slow down on the hype of “imported and dollar quotes”, own your ideas and don’t sell yourself short. I can assure you that people will be more interested in investing if you had said that the development will be finished using locally sourced materials and resources. That always adds value in terms of sustainability, environmental impact and CSR objectives in addition to boosting the local economy. Emancipate your minds and be a proud African ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

Why is everything imported? As Black woman looking for a property in Nigeria, the pride of saying this and that is imported makes my skin crawl. Why is that better than using products created by local Nigerian businesses? This is a pass for me. I'm looking for a house that is in Nigeria with Nigerian products/finishings. ✊🏾

He has a fetish for exotic, To him and her too imported means "better". that's why we import much more than we export. Even we don't value what we produce so how will anyone else value it?
@AmyStylinson3 жыл бұрын
Imported has always meant luxury it’s not just them having a “fetish”. The issue of Nigeria importing too much is def an issue tho so home grown and local would be a better selling point
@Biobele3 жыл бұрын
@@AmyStylinson you can import sub standard thrash from China or anywhere else, because it's imported doesn't mean it's luxurious. Nigerian leather for example is one of the best quality leather on earth yet we import cheap thrashy leather and thrashy leather products because we can't refine and process ours. Even though ours is more superior to almost 100% of what we import.
