@@amogus830 you have probably never met a bad maths teacher, whom themselves are incompetent of teaching. For example, one of my maths teacher can't even understand and explain what a normal distribution curve is, he only knows the way to do the questions, which isn't helpful when learning math. Don't assume everyone is the same as you, you xxxx ing brat. I really envy everyone you've never met.

What indicates that you need to switch from binomial to normal distribution for part b? Is it just that it says using a suitable approximation?

u got the exam style question wrong. Its p= 0.8456 as the upper = 350.5 and lower = 299.5
