Good morning. Just wanted to express my gratitude and thanks for these videos. The predicted questions video assisted greatly during Paper 2 yesterday. Consequently, do you have plans for a Predicted Paper 3 Mechanics? Any others associated with next week's paper? Thanks

The mod lines either side mean that if the value is negative it is read as positive so r < 1 means that r is less than 1 but if the value was say -2 then the mod lines would read it as 2 which is not less than 1. The smallest number to go between the mod lines to then be read as less than 1 is -1 so | r | < 1 means the same as -1 < r < 1. Hope that makes sense Good luck with your exams and thanks for watching.

could you explain why you used value '128.6' and not '51.3' for question 9 c) , please?? and I tried using 51.33 but S(infinity) which will give3.9 and not 0.43. thank you

because it specifies in the question that the range for the angle is between 90 and 180

hi could you explain why you used 1/2 after you drew the cos graph
@gcsealevelmathstutor5665
@gcsealevelmathstutor5665 2 жыл бұрын
because if the series is to converge rather than diverge the common ratio r must lie between -1 and 1 so as r is 2Cosx we can put that in the inequality and divide both sides by 2 to get that cosx must lie between -1/2 and 1/2 then just do inverse cos to get the angle which is Pi/3 , hope that makes sense.

since proof by contradiction came up on the first paper, will the second paper have a different proof question ? like proof by counterexample

You don't know but I would definitely look at proof by exhaustion and proof by counter example. I have made a video on proof. Here is the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZKklGVtl5dsf6s
