Still rocking out to this masterpiece! Thank you very much for many decades of great music Edgar!

Cruz is a modern day master of the guitar. He can play rock or classical pieces with ease and understands both. How he does that without becoming some kind of show biz ego maniac is just a testimony to his genius.

Wow so cool, his mother is in the nursing home where my mom works and he will come and play. And the other day he wanted me to play Crazy Little Thing Called Love bassline (his favorite song is what he told me). He said it was awesome and he had picked up my bass and was showing me some cool techniques to practice more and showed me harmonic tuning which is really cool.

It's not a perfect performance, but what he was able to do with a single guitar is pretty incredible. Even considering undertaking a project like this is pretty damn bold.

Not only is this an amazing arrangement and a masterful performance but it also show just how harmonically complex this song is compared to the vast majority rock music in existence. They just don't write 'em like that anymore.

This song is hard for full sized rock groups to perform on separate instruments and he pulled it off by himself....
@shigalhammoud12 жыл бұрын
The bass note is not unnecessary. In fact, the name of a chord is determined by its bass note. That one string changes everything. For example, try playing a standard D chord (x00232), and play it again with the low e string on the second fret (200232). Huge difference in sound.

Its called an artificial harmonic, he is touching the string at the halfway point between the fret and the bridge (12 frets above the fretted note) as he picks it, a pinch harmonic is a similar idea but it is achieved by a slightly different technique to what he is doing here....
