Still my single favorite piece of electronic music ever. Great for any season in any quiet location.

My first sighting of the vast Pacific Ocean was at Maroubra. Over 40 years later I have discovered the soundtrack that melts into the memory of that extraordinary day. Thank you Edgar and thanks KZbin.

This was the original track use on Carl Sagan's Cosmos scene 'Last Perfect Day on Earth'. Due to copyright issues it was later changed on the DVD release. A real pity because this is EF's finest composition.

@@ingraban1 I remembered it from when it first aired on PBS, but I think the soundtrack was changed on VHS and DVD due to copyright issues, it was later cut from the Cosmos soundtrack.

I used Shazam and it recognized "Tropic of Capricorn" in one episode about Mars... It seems that every country changed the original music with the dubbing. I watched a excerpt from Cosmos (when Sagan talks about the black holes) where Jean Michel Jarre's "Equinoxe 4" was used.
