The next time you go to Wisconsin if you have time for a scenic drive take Highway 14 north out of Madison to La Crosse. You will go through the unglaciated area and see the bluffs. There are nice county campsites out there also, most are not fancy. Granddads Bluff is in La Crosse it is a look out over La Crosse. Door county is another place many love to visit it is the finger sticking out into the great lakes.

We live in Wi. and will be going to Edge of Dells this weekend for Country Bash. One of our favorite campgrounds. Ishnala is one of our favorite supper clubs on Mirror lake. A bit pricey but fantastic food, service and fantastic view. We go there every time we camp here and this will be the 2nd time this year and at least one more coming.

I live just outside of WIs Dells. The dells is really a fun town to camp in general. You guys should try to make it back the weekend of Sept 11th. They have a HUGE car show. Edge O dells is where its at that whole weekend. I have my site already reserved. Keep up the good work guys!

We've been through Chicago more times than we can count and we can usually time it pretty well. We did this time too except it was storming both times we went through😂⛈ we are loving the Wraith! Been great for us and the dogs and a better set up for traveling for sure. Thanks for watching!!

I think the best time to go through Chicago is around 2 AM. I will be in Madison this Wednesday. We're there a couple times a year. I take I 94 out of Illinois to Madison instead of staying on I 90. It's a little longer but I honestly think it's quicker.

Yeah we tend to go through Chicago late/or in the early morning timeframe. We didn't hit traffic but we did hit massive strong storms both ways. I'll take the storms over traffic jams though haha

Great video again! Hey can you tell us a little about the gas mileage between pulling a fifth wheel and what it’s like towing it vs the Dynamax. Also the difference in set up? From my studying set up is 5 minutes in a super C vs 30 minutes and there’s a lot more time you have to spend outside with a fifth wheel / trailer. So on those late buggy nights 👎🏼. Just in total since y’all are camping experts we’d all love to hear what ya think about all of the differences. ❤️❤️❤️

While towing the Jeep we get 9mpg. We probably got 13 or so mpg towing with a diesel pick up and probably something similar to the Wraith towing with a gas truck. The set up/tear down is much much faster in the Super C even with the Jeep! Hooking/unhooking the Jeep literally takes a minute. It's nice with the pups that we don't have to go from truck to trailer to truck when we stop so that's something we didn't really think would matter much but it's been really nice! Towing any set up isn't difficult for us so it's hard to say which is better/easier. We will cover more in a later video we are planning on doing

The noisiest truck stops I’ve stayed at, I’ve actually preferred to sites I’ve paid to stay at with unchecked, very loud, party people after 10 PM. I sleep like a baby with road traffic and the drone of reefers and the hiss pop of air brakes! The people talking/yelling/laughing blocking is appreciated. I should make a sound machine app for my phone! 🤣 The only bad side about loud background noise is my vehicles could be completely stripped and I wouldn’t know until the morning. 🤔

Mike sleeps like a baby at truck stops! We did have a window open so it was a bit loud but we both seemed to sleep just fine😁 funny thing is this is an adult only/drinking anywhere kind of Campground, we didn't get woken up from any loud music or people and we are super close to all the action

What do you look for when choosing a place to park for the night? Do drifters come around?

We have never had any issues with drifters bothering us. We stay protected in case though. Generally we don't stay back with the semis because we aren't mandated by law when we need to stop like semis are, so with Mike's trucking background, he doesn't take spots from working truckers. We generally don't stop until really late at night so if there is an opening up front in RV/car parking spaces with enough room to get in/out we will grab that. There's also RV spaces at some rest areas which are nice, and we've done that before as well. We've stayed at Walmart, cracker barrel, Cabela's etc as well as most allow RV parking if you call/check ahead.

Hey guys nice camp ground any my pups did the same thing once to the trash and they’ve been trained not too BUT sometimes they kinda forget anyway. The pass for the state park ; well let me tell you what happen to us we going to Salisbury State park in Massachusetts for the 4th for 2 weeks anyways we got conformation on our site a week before no problem then 3 day before going in on June 23 we got canceled. The problem was they weren’t taking reservations until June 22 and the park wasn’t opening until July 1 but we already paid for in January that how it work here . But if we wanted the site the price went up from 43 a nite too 86 a nite REALLY !!!!!! WE WERE PISSED . They sent us the refund right a away but doubled the price and we an awesome site on the beach not no more anyway that our story . That’s sucks but we found another campground and made the best of it .

It's crazy the way campgrounds/state parks are handling these things! It's disappointing to say it nicely. They expect people to just buy an annual pass and require you to display the proof of purchase on the car dash but will only allow you to purchase it online or over the phone. I don't know many people who have a printer in their cars lol just really dumb. The park was already over crowded without parking so we just drove through and hopefully next time we will go during the week instead like we have when we visited this park previously

Yes it is 21+, no one below that age is allowed in at all (during the season). You have to show you ID and get a wristband. Makes it easy to get a drink at the pool though because you don't need to have your ID🥂 I think they do allow kids in the Winter but you'd have to call to verify that.

If your still in Wisconsin, you should check out Indian trails campground which is in Pardeeville, WI for maybe a different time, which is somewhat nearby. That is one of our favorites! They have weekend themes and a beautiful lake area and a pool. It is away from the dells by maybe a half hour.

Don't know if you've tried the State Park (Peninsula) on Door County? Not NEARLY as many attractions as the Dells...BUT this "Cape Cod of the Mid-West" has a lot of Natural attractions. Not much farther for you...than the Dells... because its on the east side of Wisconsin. It's about 2 1/2 hours North of Milwaukee and about 1 hour North to Milwaukee, from where you spent the night. And as far as I know, regarding the State Park pass....you would have to order one on the internet and they would have to send it to you through the mail...That's how I got mine this year. Bummer! Not good...sorry! If this Covid deal goes on much longer, and you plan to come back to WI...you may want to just drop the 40 bucks and spend some more time at some of the other WI State Parks.
