I am mastering Solid Edge version 20 100%, I have more than 150000 hours drawing time in version 20. I have yet to learn how to use the newer versions after version 20. I simply don't understand the new Solid Edge, but I am trying, and I really want to learn. I don't understand the strearing wheel at all, I am at this time just by luck getting to do what I want to do. For the last couple of years I have been able to have solid edge version 20 from UGS installed at same time as these new versions, and I use Solid Edge 20 as my drawing program to draw the thing finished then I open it in any new solid edge version viable on the internet to continue some more small things that I understand how to do in the newer programs. I wish I could have someone teach me how to. I have some 20 years energy research in energy field and want to advance for better present my energy systems.

Let's summarize what SE 2025 "brings useful" for the basic user: almost nothing. It’s even worse than last year. The interface has been redrawn for 3 years already and the work is still not finished, what a shame. Patterns: still no radial pattern feature where the pattern radiates from the center in all directions. No improvements to sketching. No improvements to drawings. No updates for welds. No improvements in frame design. No modern standard parts library. When will you finally rebuild the outdated standard parts library, so users don't have to go through the hassle of creating their own components? No formulas improvements such as implementation formulas from variable table to properies of the file and vice versa. Example: in cell Title ="Pipe ," & %DI & ", " & %Thck & ", " & %Material. With option to show formula or text.
