Edging Roughcut Lumber and Hauling Crossties

The edger on this mill was beside the saw and ran off the powerplant which was a 4-71 but is now a 6-71. The take off man ran the edger and there was a jackshaft that ran across and pulled the cutoff saw too. We'd work severely till black dark about every evening after we got out of reform school and bummed a ride up the road. Then later on in years we'd leave the truck shop at 3:45 on the way to Colombia SC for building sand. I either pulled a trailer or a pup with 25 tons. LONG days. Yall remain calm and God Bless Yall.
