Double the Henzie double the fun! Henzie is currently my favorite commander deck to play. Small note, Henzie reduces any "blitz" cost so, when you cast Calderia Guardian at 32:05 it would've been reduced by 1.

When Ben mentioned a wall that could kill Hans, my first thought was Wall of Razors. It's a 4/1 first strike defender for (1)(R); it's a fantastic early game blocker, but I guess I'm the only one crazy enough to consider it in a wall deck.

Henzie is definitely challenging to build around. I hated the precon and found I would just rather hard cast most things. I revised the deck to recur the same creatures repeatedly while playing with the graveyard. Now he is one of my favorites.

About 20 mins into the game when Ben got the 1 card that'd kill his commander...he had Portcullis Vine in play. Activate the Vine to sac the new creature, draw a card and keep his commander.

I haven't even watched the episode yet. So I don't know anything that happens. But I see a henzie "toolbox" Torre! And I love that. I just actually kinda got into commander within the last year or so because I pulled a henzie from a booster and I was like well. This guy looks fun I'll make a deck. And now commander is my favorite format. Used to dislike it but I love it now. And henzie is my pet deck that I keep tweaking and upgrading and getting cool cards for. I just love the blitz and sacing for my benefit play style along with recursion.

Edit: There was a change to the rules thanks to Serra Paragon, and now he functions as you would expect! The creatures you blitz in keep blitz indefinitely without needing Henzie to stay on the board anymore! Previous comment: Henzie is in such a weird spot. He didn't work properly on release, and the rules change they did to fix him makes him a huge target for pre-combat removal. The creatures you Blitz in with his ability only keep Blitz as long as he stays on the battlefield, meaning they will lose Haste and the ability to draw a card if he is removed (they are static abilities tied to having the Blitz keyword), while the delayed triggered ability set up by casting with Blitz will still cause you to sacrifice that creature at the beginning of the next end step. He's still cool, and if your group allows you can play him as intended rather than how he mechanically functions, but that isn't a guarantee. The mechanical quirk is something you should be aware of if you decide to play with him, and including some protection for him is a good idea.
