While we were in Missouri we stopped by Baker Creek Seed Company to tour their gardens and Pioneer Village.
The gardens there are beautiful and are filled with fruits, vegetables, and FLOWERS! Mike took the opportunity to talk with one of the master gardeners at Baker Creek to help us find FLOWERS you should GROW and EAT.
Sarah gave him some wonderful ideas on flowers that we can incorporate into our salad mix to add beauty and value to our product.
If you would like to purchase seeds of some or all of the flowers that were shared please visit www.rareseeds.com to place your order.

We do make a drink here with two of them namely the Pride of Barbados and hibiscus. You can Google and read all about them.

Hibiscus I am familiar with. But I will have to look into Pride of Barbados. I actually would love to visit Barbados one day.

It is a matter of habit to pick blossoms into my salad bowl as return to the house. Besides what you showed I use hollyhock, evening primrose and California poppies. Some herb flowers also like basil and rosemary are small but tasty.

That is great Hans! We will have to incorporate some of those into our salads too. Thanks so much for the tip and we appreciate you watching!

I just found your channel thru Doug and Stacy, I looked for a trailer to find out how you started and a little more but failed I did search your sight and went through 30 random facts which helped but I would like to know a little more. How long you have been in your yert, what part of North Carolina you are in (not an address just N,S,E or west). I am sure I can figure it out after watching more of your videos and I will. So far only spent a couple hours watching your videos but I will watch more and I did subscribe. Your children are adorable. I hope your future brings nothing but smiles.

Hey Ron! We do need to make a channel trailer to tell a little more about us. We live outside of Charlotte so we are in the Piedmont area of NC. We have lived in our yurt for about 4.5 years now. Thanks so much for checking out our channel. We really appreciate you watching! If you have any more questions please let us know!
