Glad it was helpful! I think charts are awesome ways to visualize where the hook goes. I try to include them with all my crochet patterns.

Thank you for explaining at the 3:15 minute mark as to why the row was curving. This was exactly my problem and I had no idea why this was happening. Great video!!

Thank you, this helped so much. This was helpful in understanding what the space meant. I was struggling with that. It also helped me understand why my foundation chain was curving and everything was starting to ruffle. That was a bonus for me!

Hi! Is it right, if I chain 2 at the beginning(not count as a dc) and then make the foundation dc row. Then again ch 2 ,and that also does not count as a stitch, and start to make theese dc in between the stitches. When I am at the last stitch I should go in between the last sticth of my row and that ch 2(which does not count as a stitch) is this right?😊 thank you for the tutorial!❤

I think it is exactly the same way you did it, but the turning chain does not count as a stitch😊
@EdieEckman10 ай бұрын
If I'm understanding you, I think you are correct. I do use the turning ch as a stitch in the video. The main thing is to count your stitches at the end of each row and make sure you are maintaining the same number.

@@EdieEckmanThank you so much!❤ and if I use it as a turning chain shouldn't I skip the first stitch?
@alexandranagy845010 ай бұрын
Or if I put that dc (after the three chains) into the first gap, did we skip the first stitch?

Thank you! I am making a baby dress and learning to read patterns. The dress calls for shells (dc , ch 2 , dc) then ch 3. I understand that. Then it says to "dc in next dc or dc in next 2 dc" and I su=imply for the life of me can't figure out what that means. I am looking in youtube to try to get some guidance..
@EdieEckman4 жыл бұрын
"Dc in next dc" means to work in the next dc in the row below your current row. "Dc in next 2 dcs" means to work in the next 2 dcs below your current row. Please take a look at the suggested resources I give you in the video description. Also, you may find it helpful to watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqDEY6yAec2msLc

@@deirdrewilson-redmond9840 You are so welcome. Please note that what I show in this video is NOT the same as "working in next dc". Working between stitches is something else entirely.
