Got these couple of days back and i am very satisfied with the sound quality and ease of use. The bass is enough for average to heavy user.

Thanks for putting up a review from a "layman" viewpoint, brilliant. Had them for 3 weeks, I had it set up on my work desk, slightly toe-in. They rocked, especially after burning in!! Love Joe Morello's Take Five, Josi Horikawa's Bubbles. The bass and creamy vocal of Jennifer Warnes' Way Down Deep and Rock You Gently. The sound and build qualities of there speakers are worth way more than the price. If you are not careful, you might get an audiogasm!

I've had my Edifier SD2.1D (IIRC) speakers for like 8 years or maybe more now and they still rock. They sound amazing and also have the digital coaxial and optical spdif inputs. They can make some great speakers sometimes (depending on the model) blowing away the similarly priced Logitech for sure.
@leanlifter1 Жыл бұрын
Logitech should stick to what they know excellent gaming mice lol. Logitech has to worst muddy speakers cheaply made with booming muddied up bass and no definition in the highs to sell to people that have never heard anything actually even just decent. Edifier is an order of magnitude better than lol Logitech speakers.

I've purchased very recently these same monitors and they really worth the price, I use them in my PC that have a decent codec chip, so I can't notice a quality diference when using the RCA connector or the optical imputs, before these I was using a 2.1 set made by Trust and while they were decent, the Edifier S1000MKII are a big improvment over them. I don't listen to music in very high volumes, I don't want to trash my ears, but the S1000MKII wile powerful are also very well suited for "soft" music. My only complaint, like the reviewer, is about the location of the bass and treble controls and the power swich that are all at the back.

Mr.khan how is the bass on this speakers
@kamuginkhan2 жыл бұрын
@@onsgarment9649 Hello, Mr. Garment. I think you could call them adequate (?) or well suited maybe. I sometimes like the bass a little more punchy, albeit I don't consider myself a "bass head". When bass is demanding, you'll need to turn up the bass knob or do some EQ, but I never resort to that. I just pick up my pair of JBL Club One headphones (in cabled mode) and call it a day. It depends on the music and on the feeling of moment. Sound perception isn't an objective subject.

I intend to use these speakers, when they arrive from Amazon later this week, connected to my TV via optical cable, to my record turntable via dual RCA cable, to my BluRay player (for CD’s) via coaxial cable. I can link my laptop and my phone via BlueTooth or via the 3.5mm/RCA cable. These speakers are the most versatile audiophile style units that you can get at this price. I’ll be using them to replace some Edifier R1855DB speakers that I’ve had for a few years. They’ve sounded really good up to now but I’m expecting a big upgrade in sound from these newer S1000MKII’s.

How much better is s1000mkii than r1855db??
@Driver26162 ай бұрын
@@Loo_Kah: there’s no doubt that the R1855s are excellent speakers. And when I say excellent I mean in any setting they will more than please the vast majority of people. However, the S1000MKii’s are undoubtedly superior. They are up another level again, in the all around depth of sound that they reproduce, particularly through the coaxial input.

@@Driver2616 thank you for such a quick response. I value an opinion from someone who actually listened to speakers way more than those audiophilers from reddit who don't even own the speakers but talk bad about powered speakers all the time. Thank you again.

Can Edifier T5 subwoofer be connected with these ?
@ave6492 ай бұрын
Nope. Most Edifier speakers do not have a subwoofer out jack. Makes it difficult to buy them. The R1700BTS should sound better than the S1000MKII, regardless of the specs, if connected to a subwoofer.
@ave6492 ай бұрын
Good review. Good comments, thanks, however, these speakers do not have a subwoofer output. I connected my R1280DB speakers to a Klipsch subwoofer and got a sudden massive audio improvement, improved clarity and overall quality of sound. So my concern is how well these speaker sound without a subwoofer. Music and movies will always sound better with a subwoofer.

Hey great review! I like these speakers, but they are a bit too big for the area intended. I like the audio pro c5 speakers, but you cant physically connect them for stereo, only through wifi. Do you know of any decent speakers around that size that you can connect via wifi and/or wires? Thanks

forum.lowyat.net/topic/5076922, i refer you to this comparison, i would HIGHLY recommend against the S350DB, not because of sound, it's actually got great sound, but because of quality control, it has so many issues, including subwoofer rattle & high-pitched tweeter noises when nothing is playing, two biggest issues reported a ton, it's a complete lottery if you'll get them or not, and i don't know about you, but getting a subwoofer that rattles while your watching a movie is a massive pain, The S1000MKII has alot better quality control, less reported problems, good reviews, and seems to be better than the s350db with natural sound, more balanced, less on bass, (but still has fantastic bass), from what i can see, they are made better, higher quality components, and better quality controlled, But there's still a chance, with any edifier speaker you'll have a problem, so keep an eye out for it when buying edifier, and return if possible, TL;DR S1000MKII is less of a gamble with odds, and it'll work amazingly for movies / music, and if you don't like them, return them, but i doubt you won't like them, good luck.
