Excellent set of highlights. As a bagpiper on the right flank it was great to see the overall effect of the choreography across the arena. from the ground its hard to see the sense of scale. Had a fantastic time and looking forward to performing at the REMT in Edinburgh next year!

I know this is an old comment, but I shall reply anyway. I am Australian and am pro monarchist but unfortunately monarchies are slowly starting to fade into history. People nowadays prefer Republics with an elected head of state over hereditary rule (which I personally dislike.)

Fantastic vids of a fantastic show thanks John. The sight of the massed bands marching line abreast is something you don't see on the Edinburgh Castle esplanade, nor the number of performers at the end. The only slight beef is Hector the Hero is missing.

+macrob168 Gday, never thought about the size of the mass bands. I was at the castle a few years ago just before the tattoo and your right. they wouldn't fit. That is truly something special just for us. Don't know who Hector is so didn't miss him.....

+Spencer UK Yer they get out and about from time to time. I think this is the 2nd time its been in Oz, cant remember where they went after this. Its good because some people cant afford to go to Scotland so at least they get a chance to see it if they travel

Me too I didn't know it travelled, it's really great though its gets out to the Commonwealth. When you watch something like this the location becomes a very minor factor as the performance is so good .. thanks for sharing :)
