An interesting fact about the Forth bridges is that they are each of a different design (Cantilever, Suspension, and Cable Stayed) and each was built in a different century - all crossing the same stretch of the river. I don't think that there are many places that can make a similar claim.

Some good facts there, I do love flying over them!

I take it that you phoned ahead for your zone transit as Edinburgh Radar appeared to already have your details and your intended routing and I didn't see any cut in your video to suggest that you had edited out, "G-CLRI pass your message" and the subsequent interchange that usually follows.

Yea, usually I give them a call and essentially PPR for a Zone Transit, let them know my route and that saves some time in the air.

@@pilotlanham - I do, sometimes. If I am transiting a zone with which I am unfamiliar (such as the first time I transited Aberdeen), I will, too. Mostly, for Edinburgh, I request my transit and give them my routing when in the air because it allows a little more flexibility in terms of my takeoff time and decision-making. I might get to Balado and decide to go the long way around, for example.

Nice video! I like your instrument panel, very clean. What model is the gps in the middle?
@pilotlanham Жыл бұрын
That's just an iPad mini running the Skydemon app which is the UK version of Foreflight

@@pilotlanham I though it was one from AvMap or some Garmin/Dynon for a moment 😅 as I said very clear instrumentation

@@theaeronaut-channel oh maybe you are looking at the “Kanardia Horis”

This was fascinating to watch - how long was the flight in total?
@pilotlanham Жыл бұрын
It's around 50 mins or so in total! Thanks for watching!
