Susan Adams if I may, can I ask what basically your issue was? I was born n raised a fourth generation Salvationist. Played in band, songsters etc n loved it. I had PTSD n still do and was asked to leave as I was “sleeping in the meetings and slurring my words”. I tried to explain about my medication, fell on deaf ears.... I honestly miss it but I asked the songster leader and officer to come to my home for guidance, n btw the songster leader is a relative and that was 2006.... I’m STILL WAITING.....

There is a very fine line between Religion and Christianity. We Christians are not perfect but we continue every day to try to follow Jesus. God bless you Nicholas with understanding.

The central structure has to be supported in order for the outreach programs to function. I know it does not look so good from the inside, having been there a short time myself. The internal structure has been referred to as an Army of ten percenters. I wish the concept of "OTHERS" were given greater precedence. I no longer am doctrinally able to be a Salvationist, but I still love the Army's music.

You know what you are talking about - you are absolutely right, though the percentages have changed somewhat because of the charity commission, still very little of what the general public gives goes to any charity work, instead it pays church heating ,lighting,officers salary's and travel...No other church/Christian community expects the public to pay for their church meetings/heating and lighting. This man is not lying- go do your homework folks!

DO NOT give to these people. At Xmas for every pound you give, 1/3 goes to the band for shiny new instruments and away weekends, 1/3 goes to the local "church" to pay the bills(not the local needy, and1/3 goes to headquarters for admin costs! I Know I was one of them for37 years before I escaped the Hypocracy!!!
@k0smon7 жыл бұрын
Boot///// You are having nightmares. Many small corps do not have bands. I think it is 10% tithe to DHQ, not 33%. The 'church' structure is required for all the rest to function.
