It's both. Merchant isn't an auto win like it is in builds with tons of grave effects, but with only 2 spells and 7 value mills, your avg expected mill value is solid. Merchant should be going plus most of the time.

Quillbolt is so good I've been preaching this card in Machina Quickdraw forever. It is discard fodder for both packages, and in Mash it also makes Rose Witch a Goyo at +1??? You can Debris -> Ryko + Quillbolt into Stardust/RDA, Quickdraw into lv7s or Road Warrior. Card is cracked.

As far as this deck, just felt that the actual player who build this deck may have approached it differently compared to what you did. 1st place is no joke. He must have used different interactions when it came to certain tricky situations.

It was not an UTW anyway. In Italy there is an organization (SDG) which runs the nationals independently from Konami. You have to earn your invite to participate and the top8 got also an invite for the WC organized by Format Library

I figured that's what was happening here. There has been a ton of bad information lately around these events. Someone claimed online to have won a UTW in Brazil, except central and south America don't run UTW events and it ended up being an 8 man flight. Widely different

I think technically Gallis isn’t legal in Edison because it was a EU release and doesn’t get a worldwide release until oct 2011. However during the Edison YCS Tournament, my friend did play Gallis because he didn’t realize it was a EU Promo. We randomly discovered this fact later. I know there was time in ygo history where US got a promo but EU didn’t have it yet and it technically wasn’t legal. I think Summon Sorcerous is a good example of this. The Tournament mentioned however was in Italy so it would be legal there.

as for european time wizards done by konami legal are all cards released EITHER in EU or US. For example Chimeratech Frotress Dragon was legal for UTW during EUWCQ

Ye i soffered a lot but dint lose to oppression got 3 ryko in G1 and most of deck runs 1 copy in main and 1 in side and for the second and third game I have breaker decree and storm a lot of ways to out royal😊

This is just false information, 232 players and you did not need to top a regional to qualify, winning one local or topping one local's monthly leaderboard was enough (or you could have played online as well to get the qualification)
