I remember seeing Tony Burrows as a stand up comedian on board a cruise ship some years ago...thinking back I believe it was on My Travel 'Sundream'. He was brilliantly funny and so modest . He finished his stand up performance singing this song mentioning can anyone remember Edison Lighthouse. What a way to finish an act. I was blown away....never mind about doing the comedy show.

This is probably one of the best pop song of its kind ever. You just can´t not like it. Its positivity gas goes in through your nostrils and into your system and your soul. You sympathise with this naive young man who´s crazy in love with a girl that might be crazy too (or not ?). The melody, the lead guitar...it´s all enchanted !. When i die i want to settle down in a world where you can hear "Love grows" on radio, at least once a day if you want to.

I just love the 60 s and early 70s dance . I was born in 1967 so was only 3 when this song came out but I remember it being sang in our house by my older sisters but one who's sadly not with us anymore who I was soo close to. For some reason I just started singing this so had to look it up

Tony Borrows is the original singer of this song, from my understanding this was a studio demo and it was released. Edison lighthouse was the name given to promote a video. And the song. There is no real Edison lighthouse band.

You will note that the musicians are not playing a note, this is because none of them played on the record, the music is from the TOTP orchestra per musician union rules. Tony's vocals are live and excellent , as he DID sing on the record. Play the disc and you can hear the differences

I never been in love with a crazy girl, although i had a crush on (what many considered to be) a female nerd named Nina when i was 15, in the winter of 1987. Anyway, she was seriously, constantly in love with a ("cool") guy who just bullied her all the time. No, the teenage years is not the favorite part of my life.
